Skull & Cakebones specializes in all-natural products that are vegan, non-GMO, and incorporate local flavors. It's really important to us that flavor and integrity are not compromised when "going vegan." We want people to snarf down our baked goods then watch their faces explode with disbelief when they find out it's vegan.

We take pride in quality control and use as many local, fair trade and organic ingredients as we can. When we started our business, we built our food standards around our family's food standards. If we won't feed it to our kids, we won't feed it to you. We partner with the best food & drink companies Austin and the Hill Country has to offer to create unique tastes with local personalities.

My partner and I went there twice late December 2021. Absolutely delicious, I’d personally recommend the breakfast with gravy. Their tofu scramble is on point, tofu was cooked perfectly (not soggy). Thick sliced in house bread with shaved seitan piled high will hit that deli craving in the face. The only improvement I could see would be to Their bacon bits, good, but flavor is off. Worth a detour if you’re anywhere near by.

WOW... first experience was incredible! The cheddar jalapeno scone was perfect! Chick peas salad mouth watering. Can't wait to try the chocolate croissant, Whoopi pie and lemon cake. Glad I got two of everything - will for sure be back!

Excellent latte! Had an oat milk with vanilla and lavender syrups. So good. Also tried the oatmeal pie, not bad - not too sweet in a good way. Nice setup inside and great service, super nice employees.

This place is a must try! I will have to resist not eating here every morning. This is a great place to bring your non-vegan friends as they will never notice a difference. Everything from their baked goods down to their home cooked breakfast items are fantastic! I recommend ordering an apple fritter and biscuits and gravy breakfast bowl. You will not regret it!

Everything we had here was delicious and the staff were so kind. I was transcended as I bit into the chocolate chip cookie, savoring every bite. The breakfast bowl was also wonderful. Honestly wanted everything on the menu, what a great vegan pit stop on our way out of dripping springs!

The best vegan food you’ll find near Austin. So far I’ve had both the Croissant & Egg Sammy and the Breakfast bowl and each are insanely delicious. The service is truly top-notch; and the outdoor patio is a great vibe. Management went above and beyond in providing the best service I’ve experienced since moving to Austin. Skull & Cakebones is a must visit no matter if you’re passing by or making the quick trip from the city.

My absolute favorite bakery - I’m happy to drive out from Austin for here. The service is friendly and accommodating, and their food - especially the grilled cheese sandwich -was
Amazing! I wasn’t vegan when I first went and both the grilled cheese (add tomato and spinach) and the Mac and cheese were the best I’d tasted anywhere! Haven’t had too many of the baked goods, but those I had did not disappoint. Can’t recommend them highly enough.
They also have nut-free and gluten-free food.
Plus, well-behaved dogs were allowed on the patio. ❤️

Yum. We really enjoyed the food here. Very creative combinations. Fresh ingredients. Better than anything we had in the city of Austin. If you're in the area, definitely make the effort to try this place out.

Dropped in to get some of their amazing cupcakes and learned about the cafe! Will be back for breakfast and lunch. Wonderful food, awesome people supporting many good causes--local, delicious, healthy, and indulgent all at the same time.

This bakery is one of the only hyper local vegan bakeries in the country. And it is delicious! We had cinnamon rolls and avocado toast. Amazing taste and completely fresh. Family friendly and good seating inside and out. Part of what is making Dripping Springs an interesting option outside of Austin.
