Emergency, the word can elicit many thoughts and feelings, but for VRCC, that word describes what we are trained to do best. We are experienced and forward thinking when it comes to the latest methods for diagnosis and treatment; we do everything possible to help get your pet healthy and home quickly.

VRCC does not schedule appointments as all pets are examined on a first come, first served basis depending on the severity of the condition or injury. VRCC appreciates your patience and understanding if another pet is found to need attention before yours even though you may have arrived first.

VRCC Oncology are staffed with world class cancer specialists. The level of professionalism and caring in the Oncology Department is unmatched. They were the only vet center in Denver who understood my dog's fast growing tumor emergency and triaged him immediately. I waited weeks to see my vet and then weeks to see a different vet oncology hospital, whom said they could surgically remove the tumor but could not schedule it before it grew beyond removal. Don't wait, go to VRCC Denver FIRST. They are INCREDIBLE. The Oncology Dept led by Dr. Elmslie was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and skilled

I have had multiple experiences with VRCC both in an emergency and non-emergent setting. They have always been professional. This is a multidisciplinary facility that handles everything from routine small animal care to emergent 24/7 needs. Their prices are as I would expect for the services they provide. My most recent visit came in under the expected charge and they provided a refund from the deposit.

I first brought my dog to the VRCC Dermatology department for her severe allergies, and since then she's become a patient of the Surgery, Neurology, and Internal Medicine departments as well. My dog is 14 now and as healthy and playful as she was at 3, albeit a little slower. I credit the excellent care of the highly professional veterinarians and techs for her longevity. The entire hospital is efficiently operated by competent and respectful staff members, which is a must for such a huge and busy hospital. If your dog needs a specialist, this is the premier place to find the best without driving

We brought our 5 month old puppy here for a foreign object obstruction and they wanted to charge us $8k for an emergency surgery and overnight stay, or he'll die they said. They made us wait 3 hours for Beau to have x-rays and fluids and whatever else they were doing, so we were there almost the entire night anyway. The Vet was rude and didn't have any empathy and basically told us we were terrible for not wanting to pay that kind of money. We ended up waiting until the morning to take him to our own vet where they did the surgery, it cost 1/3 of the price and he didn't have to stay over night

Lovely experience for a very sad visit, as it was time to say goodbye to our fur baby. The doctors, technicians and support staff couldn't have been any more compassionate. They made the whole process as smooth as possible while giving us the space to love her and grieve for the loss.

The staff here are so amazing, I have to take my pup to visit internal medicine monthly and everyone I talk to is always so kind and understanding. I am so grateful to them for keeping my dog in good health.

The first time I visited VRCC was an emergency visit and Lindsey on the front desk was an absolute gem. She clearly goes above and beyond in attempt to keep everyone in good spirits, despite how stressful it can be to have a sick or injured pet on your hands. Someone give that woman a raise, stat

VRCC has been treating my dog for lymphoma the last 2 months and I couldn't have better things to say about the experience so far. They are courteous, professional, and it's never been an issue to get Bandit an appointment. I'm typically seen within a few minutes of arriving. Dr. Arnold and her techs have always taken the time to explain the treatment plans to me and answer all of my extensive questions. Dr. Arnold also takes the time to call me to see how things are going and ask if I have any questions - something not done by many doctors. I highly recommend VRCC!

Brought my dog in for some concers I was having. Doctor didn't think it was a major concern so we went home. I had some other questions arise a few days later, called and had a technician call back but still left message for the Doctor. I received a voicemail from the Doctor and called back within a few min and she had left for the day. I requested a call back the next day and nothing. I called again, was advised she was traveling and would get with me via email. Nothing. Yes, holiday weekend but when you have concerns and are told you will be contacted and nothing, what good is a 24/7 emergency

Two years ago we lost one of our three cats and it was horrible. VRCC was compassionate and supportive during that terrible time.

Last night we had to rush our 10 year old cat Boo to the hospital, this time for complications due to diabetes. Dr. Han was beyond empathetic. She reassured us constantly that with his failing health, the decision to put him to rest was a compassionate choice. They gave us plenty of time to hold him privately, to make the decision and then to grieve. When Dr. Han came in, she once again told me I had nothing to feel bad about, that what we did we did from love

Between the oncology department and the surgery department they literally saved our dog Milos life. He has a partial mandibulectomy. They were able to fully remove all the cancer with part of his jaw bone, and oncology was able to rule out it being spread anywhere. I could write a book on how amazing the entire staff has been. Thank you everyone for saving our boy Milo. We are forever grateful to everyone who worked with us and him during the entire process. And thank you for never being annoyed with the amount of times I called to check about results or asked questions. We drove up from Colorado

TLDR recap: In all, I'm very impressed with this facility and it's employees. Highly recommended. My dog was bitten by another and was in pain. I took him in at approximately 9:45 p.m. and was directed to the triage area at the front of the facility. It was comfortable and clean. A very professional vet tech evaluated my dog there and assured me the injury wasn't severe. Shortly thereafter, my dog was taken back to the exam area. A vet then met me with my dog and explained the exam that had been done and suggested shaving the affected area to see if there was a puncture wound - no

Wonderful service with the veterinarians and the vet techs. The Clinic that I went to which was Hermosa. Their service was horrible and I wish I knew this Clinic sooner so that I didn't have to go to Hermosa. My dog could have died if it wasn't for this Clinic. A puppy is 7 months now and she is deaf. They really do care about the animals and their owners!

Amazingly progressive and caring surgeon helped my boy live 10 days after some scumbag offered to put him down the second we got the diagnosis. He was 125lbs and 13 years old so he lived a long, healthy life. They recommended Yunnan Baiyo to slow bleeding from
cancer and I think they are just brilliant.

Unfortunately I sent my sister to have her dog seen here in an emergency situation to honestly be judged, and have the actual veterinarian on duty hang up on her and never answer my call either. Front desk and technicians- wonderful.
The actual money hungry, rude and disrespectful DOCTOR- Mrs Dr P.
Unsure of actual name, shame on you. Sad sad way of practice.

We have been going to VRCC for many years. We rescue English Bulldogs and we foster French Bulldogs. We have been there for eye surgery's, several times. We have been there for allergies and a couple of knee surgeries and a throat surgery. For some reason I thought I was going to try to get a second opinion on one of my rescues, because I have not dealt with this issue before. Somebody SLAP me, HORRIBLE experience at the other place...
For us ALL ROADS LEAD BACK TO VRCC.

Dr. Lee at VRCC/Rocky Mountain Veterinary Cardiology is fantastic! I can't recommend her highly enough. My pups mean more to me than anything in the world. When my little boy Nico was diagnosed with mitral valve disease, we began seeing Dr. Lee shortly thereafter for treatment. They make the appointments quick and stress-free for my little guy and Dr. Lee always takes time to listen to and address my concerns. I can tell that she genuinely cares for the well-being of her patients. She is both kind and very knowledgeable in her field -- exactly what I want for my guy's doctor!

I have been taking my chihuahua to Dr Bachtel for 2 years. I'm a former CVT and I'm so impressed by the staff. I have never been so impressed by a vet practice. The facility is run by the best and its impressive. They are truly specialized and knowledgeable on the most up to date medicine. The doctor talks to me and no hard sell or anything unnecessary. My dog is a difficult case and the doctor has made a lot of time for me. Returns calls himself. Heather the tech is amazing and knows her stuff. I have zero problem spending money for my specialty care. This is so different than my regular

BEWARE! The techs working here are not good at communicating, which allows things like INCORRECT MEDICINE DOSAGES to be given to your pet while under their care, regardless of how many times you stressed the correct amount. Furthermore, the vets all seem incompetent, and they "work" with Rocky Mountain Neurology, which is a whole different scam in and of itself. They told me if I left my pet with them overnight, he would be seen first thing in the morning by the neurologist. Shockingly (not) the vet didn't bother to come in until later that afternoon, then spent hours before even

What a fantastic vet with specialty and emergency services! My beloved chihuahua, Mr Cheeks, was a patient of the cardiology vet for years, they diagnosed his heart condition and treated it successfully for four years, he had such a good quality of life because of VRCC. As his condition worsened the vet team was there every step of the way when I had to put him to sleep, so much compassion and caring. I would recommend their services to anyone!

I can't say enough about this place! One of our little babies had gone completely blind, and it was so disheartening. It literally broke my heart. He loved playing fetch and following me around. But I had to buy a little holder and carry him everywhere with me and he was so sad. It happened very quickly, within a couple of months. I took him to our regular vet, animal heritage in Parker and they told me to go to VRCC. They have an ophthalmology department. He went in for a check up, they told me he was a good candidate for the eye surgery, so we went for it, and I literally cried when they

While in Denver visiting family for Thanksgiving, my dog hurt himself and we had to visit the emergency vet.

No one wants to spend time at the vet during a holiday, but the staff here made the extremely painful, as painless as possible.

The vets here are compassionate, caring, gentle, and knowledgeable. There was a dog that was reaching the end of his days next to me and I overheard the vet speaking with the family. The care and attention the vets gave to everyone there (2 and 4 legged) was gold standard.
