We have had such amazing care. We adopted a 3yr old German sheppherd that was neglected in many ways. He's huge and so gentle and they treated him with such kindness.

This was my first trip to Nelson Animal Hospital. Dr. Jessica Liao took some time to allow Dottie to become at ease with them. Also, the technician was gentle and comforting to Dottie. I was given sound advice on her care. Dottie came from California via my daughter. Our experience was very positive. I was very pleased.

Dr. Douglas empathized and was informative. I went to another vet prior and was not treated as well. There pricing is reasonable and the operation is clean.

I was afraid I might lose my boy Billy years ago when a tumor was found under his left front leg and into a section of his chest. Dr. Kelley performed that surgery and removed every bit of the tumor. Then it was on to dressing his wound which was a hard one to keep covered and safely secured. Dr. Kelley came up with a way to both cover his wound but also kept it tightly held against his body. She added a modified collar to prevent Billy from getting to it and years later, you would never guess he had surgery at all. I have trusted all my dogs over 20 years to Nelson Animal Hospital and they have

This Clinic is very Professional and Responsive. I want to personally thank Dr. Douglas again for extending herself being the norm for a New Patient. I have a French Bulldog and it was important to me to find a Doctor who can relate to raising this breed. Dr. Douglas is extremely knowledgeable and was even kind enough to give me a referral for some additional services. I can tell that Nelson Animal Hospital cares for their Client's pets like their own, and that's extremely valuable! I would recommend anyone searching for a Animal Hospital/Clinic to contact Dr. Douglas at Nelson Animal Hospital

Five stars are not enough to express my happiness with Nelson Animal Hospital. I have a new puppy who became violently ill and was in a life threatening situation. Dr. Jessica Liao-Seaton personally talked to me several times throughout his illness and took the time to address every concern. All the staff I encountered were so pleasant and helpful. I have had very good service from various veterinarians over the years, but they don't hold a candle to Dr. Seaton's ability to communicate with people. And it's not just her people skills, she is so knowledgeable and has excellent

Been going to Nelson's for 17 years and LOVED them for 16 of them. Dr. Clark Nelson, who was phenomenal, has been retired for a year, however, is still listed on the website as a practicing physician. Deceiving. Also, Dr. Matt Hitchcock, who was wonderful, left to start his own practice up north, and no notice was given to his patients. Very disappointing to find out, when trying to make an appointment with him. Dr. Meredith Douglas is also excellent, but was off for a month when I had to make an appointment for my sick and dying dog. Instead of being a neighborhood vet, they've gone

Nelson has a new vet named Dr. Lao, whom we love. She is kind and understanding. We just moved to the area, and Nelson has been here for a long time. I always meet nice people with their animals in the waiting room who have been using Nelson for decades. Dr. Lao, though, is new. They're good about getting my dogs in on the "day of" an emergency. Highly recommend.

New to Colorado we needed to find a new vet for our 3 pups. We have had the same amazing vet in St. Louis for years and wasn't looking forward to finding another vet. The reviews were good for Nelson Animal Hospital so I made an appt with Dr. Mendola. She greeted our girl in the waiting room. She was on the floor with our pup as she talked and examined her. Dr. Mendola was very through and personable. I made another appt for our male lab for his check up and again Dr. Mendola was amazing. We have found our new vet with Dr. Mendola and Nelson Animal Hospital. The office staff is also friendly

Dr. Hitchcock and the team at Nelson Animal Hospital are the best! Whether it be a regular check-up, a tooth extraction or a more invasive surgery, we have always felt that our fur-babies were in good hands with Dr. Hitchcock and the rest of the staff at Nelson Animal Hospital.

Couldn't ask for a more caring, thoughtful, empathetic and honest vet. We recently switched to Nelson Animal Hospital after our previous vet couldn't fit our dog in for 2 days in an emergency. Dr. Hitchcock immediately took charge, and got our pooch through a difficult situation. These guys are like family and, though the vet it a pet's equivalent to the dentist, we couldn't be happier!

This is the best vet I have ever taken any dog to. Very reasonable prices along with great service. Best part is that they don't try to charge you for extra in the time of a crisis. For example, my dog has torn his du-claw twice. The first time I took him to Banfield. They wanted to charge me for pulling off the remainder of the nail, anesthsia, the wrap, a plastic cover to put over the wrap so it doesn't get wet, a plastic cone, 3 types of antibiotics, 1 type of painkiller, and 2 revisits. The second time he tore his du-claw I took him to Nelson Animal Hospital. They removed

The entire staff is fantastic. I took my small dog here last year for various health issues. Dr. Nelson and Dr. Douglas both treated him and both were so great with him. They were careful to explain all of the procedures and options available to me for his treatment. A couple of weeks ago my elderly cat started having physical problems. Unfortunately, his cancer was not treatable. Dr. Hitchcock spent so much time keeping me updated on my cats progress and and when the time came to let my cat go, Dr. Hitchcock was so comforting to me and my children. He made a difficult time much easier to

We absolutely love Dr. Nelson. We were having issues with another animal clinic...we have a rescue lab mix who survived parvo, and recently he started losing hair around his eyes and scratching until his eyes were raw. After $600 at another animal hospital with no results, and having to wait a month or more (if they even called back) with results, we were nowhere closer to getting poor Beezle any relief, and the poor little guy was living in the "cone of shame." A neighbor suggested Dr. Nelson, saying he had a more "traditional" approach to veterinary medicine.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Nelson, his associates and their entire staff.
I trust him completely to care for my dogs. I have been seeing him for 10 years and haven't had even one bad experience.
Their prices seem much more reasonable then what my friends are paying for their vet care.
When my dog was put to sleep in Jan Dr. Nelson was kind, comforting, and supportive. He took care of every detail so I didn't have to worry. I appreciate the extra care I always receive from him.
