Services
The best way to find out if Magnus Karate is a good fit for your family is to come in for a free trial lesson. If all parties feel like its a good fit to move forward we suggest you utilize the monthly intro offer to test out the flex schedule. We recently relocated our karate school to our brand new dojo in downtown West Chester! - Cambridge Square Shopping Center - popular stores in the plaza which includes Rita's, Jersey Mike's, America's Pie.
Junior Magnus (Age 4-6) is our pre-k martial arts foundational development program, designed to help your child thrive in all areas of their life while setting them up for success as a young adult, and preparing them for our Black Belt training program. Classes are grounded in building focus in and outside the academy, motor coordination, strength and flexibility, and confidence that will follow them throughout their lives.
Our youth martial arts black belt training program is at the core of what we do at Magnus, and is where all of our leaders and instructors began their journey. Children develop into strong young adults - physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially, while learning essential life skills through their training that will help them find their unique path, and excel in school, in athletics, and at home.
Our adult martial arts classes are beginner-friendly and provide multiple class options per week for the participant who is seeking to get in great physical condition, learn to defend themselves, or regain the ability to move freely and without pain. The Magnus Karate adult curriculum centers around Okinawan Shorin Ryu, taught with modern methodology that is both fun and highly practical.
Classes are available starting at Age 4 and are segmented according to age and experience levels. No experience is necessary, our Age 7+ Beginner class is very welcoming to a new student of martial art practice. Free trial lessons are available upon request. Upon scheduling you will be contacted by a Magnus Karate representative on what to expect on the first day.

I cannot say enough good things about Magnus Karate! My 5-year-old has been going to them for a month, and in that month I've been so impressed by the instruction delivered at the Dojo. Sensei teaches developmentally appropriate lessons about socialization, respect, and of course, karate.

Magnus Karate is AWESOME! My daughter started at the age of 10 and it has been a huge confidence builder for her. She was interested in “trying out” karate and quickly fell in love with karate with aspirations of becoming a black belt. Sensei Mike Pannulla is a true leader who involves the whole family in classes, belt tests, and gives individualized speeches at each belt ceremony. There is a sense of community at Magnus Karate that causes the students to feel motivated and accountable. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to get their child involved in something that builds confidence, strength

Cannot say enough about Magnus! Sensei and his leadership team are wonderful with the kids and their families. There are multiple opportunities for additional workshops, including some for parents. Also, covid precautions have been taken seriously throughout the pandemic.

If I could give Magnus Karate 10 stars I would. We have been with Magnus Karate for a few years now and we have 3 kids enrolled. Our oldest recently received her black belt and we could not be more proud. This is a wonderful school that fosters growth, empowers youth, and teaches them more than technique. It teaches them to aspire to be better people and helps shape their future. Their weapons and leadership program is one of a kind! And Sensei Pannulla is just an amazing person. We are so grateful to be a part of this wonderful community.

Master Pannulla and Magnus Karate are amazing!! Our son started attending the karate school when it was still housed at ACAC fitness center in West Chester. Our son has ADHD and a host of other learning challenges. Karate has helped to improve his focus and self-esteem. Master Pannulla has a great way of connecting with all of the students at Magnus Karate. Whenever he does a belt (level up) ceremony, he singles out each student and tells them specifically how the student has grown and improved. Master Pannulla pays attention to each and every student, and our son has grown so much in the 6 years

My son has been with Magnus Karate for almost two years and we could not be happier. We started with Junior Magnus and have recently moved up to the next level. The support and communication during the transition has been top notch. Mike is both patient with the students but also challenges them to do their very best. His lessons extend beyond the dojo and can be applied at school and home.

I can’t say enough about Magnus Karate and Sensei Pannulla. He is an amazing leader & role model. He is truly dedicated to the success of each student. Both of my kids started in Jr Magnus. Now one is an accomplished Black Belt and the other is on her way. Sensei and his leadership team do a phenomenal job making learning fun while the kids increase their skill level. Thank you Sensei for all that you do for the children and the community!!

Magnus Karate and Sensei Pannulla are amazing! I cannot say enough great things. Sensei is great with kids - he is able to engage with each child individually, understanding how each is different. My son has been taking lessons there for almost 6 years, and my daughter has been taking lessons there for 3 years. My son originally started karate lessons at a nearby school, and I can confidently say there is no comparison to Magnus Karate!
