MASK MANDATE: In accordance with the state's latest recommendation all students under the age of 12 who are not vaccinated are required to wear masks during classes as well as when entering and departing the dojo. Services
Our Little Ninjas classes are highly energetic with an emphasis on teaching about focusing, good respect, listening skills, and self control. The program is designed to provide a very basic foundation for the student allowing them future growth and development in the martial arts. Basic kicks, stances, and strikes are utilized in a fun and motivating manner.
All of our kids classes are highly energetic. Karate training has been proven to have a positive influence on children both in and outside of the training room. Along with the physical aspects of our karate program we place heavy emphasis on focusing, discipline, and respect. The character of our students develops as their technique and abilities develop in the Dojo.
Students in this program can expect to achieve superior fitness, focus, self esteem and increased confidence through continuous training. In our Teen/Adult program an emphasis is placed upon proficiency in effective defensive and fighting techniques. A combination of traditional and modern training methods are utilized to achieve this goal.
We offer Birthday parties here at Rising Sun Karate for current students, former students and to the public at large (for children ages 5+). Email masterunger@gmail.com about a month in advance of your desired date/time to work out the schedule and discuss all the details. Most parties are hosted on Saturday afternoons from 12:30pm - 2:00pm, however we can make special appointments for Friday nights or Sunday afternoons per special request.
The RSKA has a world-class martial arts program that also emphasizes discipline and respect. Since my children switched from another program there has been a noticeable difference in their martial arts abilities, enthusiasm about karate, and their physical fitness. I highly recommend the RSKA to anyone who wants a serious karate school that is also extremely fun and exciting.

Highly recommend this school. Master Unger has the right blend of discipline & fun for your aspiring ninja, and for adults the instruction & comraderie can’t be beat! Whether you are a beginner or you are picking up where you left off in prior training, you will feel welcome to join the team. While the main martial art focus is tang soo do, you will learn basic self defense, a little boxing and other mixed martial arts.
