I was looking forward to breakfast here based on the good reviews and the menu. Unfortunately we were disappointed. They were out of several items, I'm assuming because of Covid supply issues. They automatically add a tip yet offer minimal service. My mom asked to have her pecan roll heated and was told "no, because you already paid" (they didn't ask if she wanted it heated when she ordered, and it definitely would have been better heated). They missed several parts of our order and didn't read it back so we didn't realize it until we received our food. Not sure

Small and wonderful cafe with an amazing variety of cookies and breakfast items. Loved their avacado toast. We went on a Sunday morning and the Cafe was crowded and you'd have to wait in line for a good 10-15 mins to place an order but once you do the orders arrive quickly.
Summary - Good cofffee and good food but crowded so if you are in a rush it may not be the best place.

Another 5 star week eating at the GoodLife. The club sandwich and tuna melt (special) are outstanding. Great salad sides. Love that you can order online and pick up, particularly helpful for morning coffee runs. Been eating here on vacation for years and it only gets better. Also, awesome friendly staff.

Plenty of options here for anywhere between a good hearty breakfast or a lean breakfast. The same goes for their drinks. You can get pretty much any sort of typical Modern American meal here. The bagels were good. I especially enjoyed the spinach omelet with the garlic touch - very good. They also have a nice selection of teas and other hot drinks with a wide range of nut milk options. The outdoor seating is covered - we were able to enjoy our meal there despite the rain. A good place to stop before a hike or other outing.

Food was decent but the mandatory service charge of 15% plus the extra tip screen at the end of checking out with no prior notification from the cashier can easily weasel you into to tipping 35%+. I have no general problem with a service charge but with no prior knowledge of said service charge until I see my receipt is beyond annoying

Even though it’s the only breakfast place in town, we wouldn’t go anywhere else next time even if we could. Staff was quick and polite even though they don’t rely on tips(they’re included). Food was fast, steaming, fresh, beautiful, and delicious. They get the details right at Good Life Cafe.

I've been here a number of times over the years. I've only ever ordered sweet items. On this last trip, I bought a blueberry muffin and a cowboy cookie. Both were excellent( I'm an accomplished baker, so when I say excellent, believe me). What I dislike is being told that I have to provide a 15 percent tip to someone who literally put a pastry in a bag and handed it to me. TIP means to insure prompt service. It is not given before being served. If the owner wants to make sure her staff are paid well, then pay them well. Don't rely on customers to make up the difference

I literally cannot say enough good things about GoodLife Cafe & Bakery. My husband and I were staying in Mendocino for the weekend, and we found ourselves here every morning for breakfast. Their menu is so inclusive for those with dietary restrictions (GF), and it was amazing to be able to sample a larger menu than I am used to.
They make their own GF bread, and it is delicious! They also sell loafs as well! Naturally anything paired with their fresh baked bread is delicious. If you're wanting an extra amazing experience, go for their bacon waffle. *chef's kisses* We'll be

Umm, don't really want to knock this place. The foods not bad. The pastries looked pretty darn good but we went for a full breakfast. The staff was really good to us. I think the way they have you to seat yourself makes it kinda uncomfortable. I'll try again next time we're in town and see if it was just me. You should try it when in town.

Perfectly average, had their omelet, a bagel. The hubby had a burrito.
Omelet was just ok, no hot sauce or anything for the potatoes. The bagel was stale despite it being 'fresh in house ' lox cream cheese was grainy not appetizing at all . All in all a bit disappointed by the averageness of the spot since it came highly recommended.

It's a cute little spot for a casual breakfast in Mendo, but I just wasn't blown away by anything. Came here for a quick breakfast before doing some exploring in the area. After reading some of the reviews that mentioned the long lines, I decided to order ahead of time online. Ordered a chai latte and a breakfast tostada online a little before 9:30 am and arrived around 9:45 am. When I saw how long the line was, I knew that my order wouldn't be ready yet which was fine. But what I didn't expect was to be ignored when I simply tried to ask where I should pick up my order when

This place was recommended to us by a local for brunch. It did not disappoint. The baked goods are the best part of what they do. I had some other breakfast items but the baked items were fantastic. The place was clean, well laid out, and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was a bit crowded but the line moved quickly and even though the line stretched to the end of the building we were eating within fifteen minutes. I didn't get to go back the next day but it's been on my mind ever since. The three other people in my party had the same experience.

This was a cute little spot we stopped at for lunch that was recommended by a local to the area. I got a chicken pesto sandwich with fries that was really tasty. You can take your food to go or they have a tent set up over they patio and you dine outside. They don't have bathrooms but do have port-a-potties in the back you can use. Prices felt a little on the high end but not unexpected for the number of tourists that frequent Mendocino. They also had some really delicious looking baked goods which I didn't not try but was tempted by. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a simple

YUM.
There's nothing quite like treating yourself to a fresh pastry, a warm coffee, and a quiet walk by the ocean. The GoodLife frequently has a line out the door, but don't leave! It is well worth it. My husband enjoys the Bagels & Lox, while I usually opt for a plain bagel or pastry, and it is always delicious and fresh. Their coffee can be a short wait; but it's worth it! Highly recommend, but don't expect to find seating.

We had lunch here during our recent trip to Mendocino. They don't take any reservations and waiting in line for 10 min will get you in. Everyone orders at the front desk and then you can sit wherever you like on their patio. I have to say the food was tasty, American/Mexican style with large portion but the serving is slow. If you are in a hurry to grab a bite, this is not the place for you. We enjoyed our lunch everyone and had to pack the leftovers.

I walked in nervous expecting to show my fake ID, but it turns out I misread "bakery" as "brewery."
This establishment was very pleasant to dine at, very family friendly, with a lot of G rated drinks and food. I ordered the bacon waffles and have never been more disappointed that I haven't come here before.

Very cute and popular local place with a great vibe. Very good quality ingredients skillfully prepared. You know you've hit the jackpot when a seemingly simple dish that you've had many times before elsewhere makes you say "wow this is great"! My bagel and my wife's sourdough toast were obviously house made and were awesome. We left full and very happy!

Such a cute vibe here! They not only have foods but they also sell local items like bags, earrings clothes, etc. We came around 12 on Sunday it wasn't too busy, we were third in line. After about 5 minutes, the line went out the door. There is only outdoor seating and it's pretty spacious. Despite it being busy, we were able to find a seat to eat. This is one of those restaurants where you order first and then find a seat.
We ordered breakfast burrito and chicken fried steak (one of the specials). It took 20 minutes for food to be ready, they bring it out to you. The breakfast burrito

Generous breakfast and lunch establishment with VERY large menu selections. Prices were not cheap but the portions were large.
Be patient. The line is long to order but once you order, the food is out pretty quickly.
I came at 9 am and waited in line for about 25 mins. Definitely recommend ordering ahead online. There is an outdoor seating area and it is dog friendly.
I ordered the spinach omelette which came with a huge side salad. My husband ordered the two eggs breakfast with fries.
Added avocado and sausage! Both were pretty generous for add one.
Everything was fresh. Ask for the extra
