Located along scenic Hwy 1 in Elk Ca, Queens Roadhouse Cafe is a purveyor of fine American dining from the esteemed Lynn Derrick. Just a few hundred feet from the Pacific Ocean, this breakfast and lunch cafe has a following stretching an hours drive both ways on the coast. Located in the popular vacation villiage of Elk, visitors can get a delicious meal while visiting Elk's State Beach, scenic cove and seastacks.
Located next to the Elk Garage, Queenie's Roadhouse Cafe serves organic traditional american food. You can order breakfast or lunch at any hour we're open. The restaurant is filled with charm dating back over a hundred years having been a livery stable and a showroom for Studebaker cars. You can have a meal inside or sit at the redwood tables outside on the deck.

Came here because of a recommendation from a local during our weekend getaway from the Bay. Absolutely fell in love with the place! Excellent, fresh, hearty food, and our sunset mimosas were to die for. Everyone working there was exceptionally friendly and fun. Gorgeous spot, just a feel good place that we can't wait to come back to.

Some of the best food and service I’ve had in a long time. If you’re driving through town, I highly recommend it. The ingredients were fresh and it really showed in the food, which was delicious. They had a wide variety of options, including options for vegans and vegetarians. The servers are great, Hadley in particular, and the general vibe just makes it a great place for a meal. I can’t wait to go back.

Best breakfast & lunch around! Every time I drive up or down the coast through Elk, I HAVE to stop and eat at Queenie's. Best chorizo/beef burger EVER! Coffee is awesome and the view is spectacular. Hard to find a better place for food or for the view. Best place to stop on the drive up or down the coast.

We were on a motorcycle ride and were lucky to stop at Queenie’s for breakfast! First off, the coffee was awesome. The atmosphere and service was storybook, just what you dream of when out on the coast. The food is prepared with local ingredients and you can smell and taste the freshness immediately. I had the Gertrude Omelette, and the bacon....oh the bacon! Will be back with my wife!
Thank you Queenie’s!

If you are on a hurry, this is Definetly not a stop for you. It was busy on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered at 1:05 Pm. We got our food at 2:27 PM. There were 5 tables ahead of us. They said it would be a 45 minute wait. Double the time they tell you. They average about one table every 20 minutes. VERY slow. And, you get to listen to some of the staff complain that they have customers. Lol. They aren't shy about it.
I ordered the chorizo omlet. It was pretty good. Came with potatoes, which were pretty bland. I had to add a LOT of salt and pepper. I got sourdough toast. Hard as a rock, and cold

Friendly service. Historical. Everything that came out of Queenies' kitchen was beautiful. Subtle clues to LGBT friendly. Staff made us feel good about waiting over an hour for our breakfast. Various challenges (dish washer broke down, running out of dishware, bigger crowd than expected) handled cheerfully by staff.
