Dell children's ER department needs to work on their customer interfacing skills. They make the choice to make it difficult for patient families to handle logistics. It adds more stress and it's so unnecessary. They need to work on being more compassionate and accommodating to parents and family. Other hospitals do this and they should too. Why make something more difficult than it already is. 😕

We’ve had the absolute best care each time we’ve been here with our kids. All of the doctors and nurses are extremely attentive, and they do a great job of explaining what’s going on and helping to calm nerves. Best children’s hospital in the state!

This is entirely the WORST hospital I’ve ever been too and took my daughter too! I’ve called about 4 days straight about my daughters COVID test results and can’t get ahold of anybody in the emergency department because they’re “away” but it seems that they’re always away and can’t ever answer the phone. The staff is very unhelpful too they keep transferring you to the same number even though nobody answers and they do NOT CARE. They only care about getting paid. Parents .. if you’re reading this .. from one parent to another take your child ELSEHWERE and DO NOT COME HERE! You

I would give it a 0 if I could. I give it 1 because well Google leaves us no choice, and two because of the rest of the nursing team that really did help us and to the 1 physician that finally listened to us described later in review. I can't even begin to start to say how ridiculous this hospital is. My daughter came in with a near 105 fever and borderline low sat levels, was given motrin and dose of steroids and sent home. She regressed that same night and went downhill! She stopped eating, drinking, everything! The next morning we had our pediatrician directly admit her and once there, she was

Dells childrens medical center saved my granddaughters life! She was born a micro preemie at San Antonio Childrens hospital and they misdiagnosed her. They wanted to send her home on a tracheotomy at SA Hospital. She coded three times and that’s when we made the emergency decision to get her into Dells hands! We are so grateful! The minute she got there; she had a diagnoses and started getting better!! The entire network of doctors are amazing. She was sent home on low flow oxygen and a gtube.

I'm so sick of bringing my daughter here. She has mental health issues and the only time you take our case seriously is when the social worker who were assigned to us by the state get involved. I've had enough. Were always sent home after HOURS of just sitting around. I'm going to the medical bored. My daughter being brought there by mental health officers by ambulance, then she comes into the hospital and acts like a perfect kid just so she can be set home with a coloring book to do it all over again. Enough is ENOUGH.

If I could give this hospital 0 stars I would! Staff was very very dismissive of my child screaming in pain. Nurse would simply not listen to what I was telling them. Not to mention how rude they are this is a children's hospital and I didn't come in contact with one nurse who was nice or compassionate towards the situation. We ended up taking my daughter to asencion seton where we were treated quickly and nicely

We brought my son to the ED because of a cough and respiratory difficulty. The emergency department staff and doctors were amazing. Dr. Yee and all the nurses were very kind and knowledgeable. My son was then admitted to a medical unit and the excellent care continued. Dr. Williams, nurses, respiratory therapy, pharmacy etc. were all providing the best possible care while also making sure I as a parent understood each step of care and what needed to be done after discharge. I could not imagine taking my son anywhere other than Dell Children's if hospital care is needed again in the future.

I went to ER on Dell Children’s Hospital with my baby, who is 14th month old and my wife. I registered at 09:40PM (08/07/2021) and in waiting room were not so many people. The thing is that now is 3:13AM and I am still here in waiting room and waiting for nurse. My baby and my wife are sleeping outside because it is to cold for them, I need to wait inside, because I do not want to lose my queue.
I was trying to figure out on front desk what is the approximate timeframe for waiting, because I am still waiting more than 4 hours and clerk Rosily trying not to calm me even told me more frustrated

We have seen a lot of these specialists... endo, rheumy, pulmonologist, gi, etc. They are great with kids, super careful, spend a ton of time with you and explaining to you. I really appreciated them and their care of my daughter. Dr. Heintz the GI was so super cool and then he made her a balloon animal. They're just awesome.
