Before you can enroll in a health plan that coordinates with Medicare, you will need to enroll in Medicare Part A (Hospital benefit usually no premium cost) and Medicare Part B (Medicare benefit monthly premium of $148.50). Medicare Part B premium starts at $148.50 per month for 2021 and could increase according to your household earning in 2020.
What Is Medicare: Medicare is the federal health insurance program for people who are 65 years of age or older, or certain younger people with disabilities. Legal residents are required to live in the United States for at least 5 consecutive years, including the 5 years just before applying for Medicare.
