I ride my bike everyday . I needed a new tire and tube they did it while I waited. On another day I rode by, dropped in without an appointment and mentioned I heard a clicking in my crank while pedaling the bike. The older gentleman took my bike in immediately adjusted my bike and fixed the problem while I waited. When I tried to pay him he said no worries and thanked me for my business. I will be back for all my needs to this bike shop. Service and very professional and very polite people to interact with. They really care and I feel appreciated being a customer....thanks!!

Thank you Chris! Thank you Off the Chain! If you need a bike see them! (Well...when bikes come back around) Chris was incredibly kind and helpful. He answered all of our questions, wasn't pushy, and helped me find the best bike for me! His customer service skills are impeccable and hard to come by these days! We came from Morgan Hill and we will continue to go to Off the Chain for bike repairs and gear! Thanks for all of your help Chris!

Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable. I was asked the appropriate questions to make sure I was getting the correct product for my needs. I purchased a bicycle tube and a tool to assist with taking tire off and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend going here for your bicycle needs.

As a new comer to Hollister, I found this place to be quite helpful and friendly. I was just looking to pick a helmet as a friend loaned me his bike. Bought a Specialize helmet size L and it turned out to be too large. Went back 2 days later and they were happy to exchange it for an M. Plus, they didn’t try to over sell me and was quite honest about their limited cycling clothes line.
Was also invited to join their Saturday morning cycling group so looking forward. Appreciate it all. Brian and Chris were really awesome.

Though they were $30 more expensive for a BMX bike tune up than the Gilroy bike shop, I saved myself TWO ROUND TRIPS to Gilroy and 4 gallons of gas.
Sometimes a few extra dollars spent locally saves you hundreds in time & fuel.... unless your time is worthless.
Brought the bike in one day, done by 3 pm the next.
Honest local merchant doing a great job.

I have an electric handicapped cart, which is my only transportation. Chris helped me with getting and installing side-view mirrors, handle grips, really bright LED front white lights, changeable bright LED rear red lights, a wicker basket, 2 water bottle holders, and even ordered me some cute air valve covers. Because it is a cart instead of a bike, there needed to be a bunch of customization to install almost everything. Chris did a wonderful job. I now feel safe on the road, especially at night. They have a wide variety of bicycles and accessories. They assured me that if they didn't have something

I joined owner Brian for the regular Saturday 8AM ride. Had great time. We did 21 miles through the beautiful country roads & rolling hills around Hollister. I was on my SLOW but sure touring bike and Brian stayed back with me with lots of good advise to improve my riding. Owner Brian is a long time bike geek and worked12 year for Specialized designing frames. No kidding, if you have any needs, wants or questions this shop is the place to go. Even if you have to travel a bit to get here.

Brian and his staff are incredible. I took my specialized bike into their store, they replaced the back rim with a new one, adjusted the brakes, back sprocket, shifters and I was go to go the next day! They coordinated with the service reps and fortunately my bike was under warranty and was fixed with no charge! You guys rock, in other words, simply put, you're OFF THE CHAIN!

I've been going to Off the Chain for many years and am always impressed with the excellent workmanship, depth of knowledge, and the fact that Brian and Chris don't just wrench, but ride hard too.
An anecdote to illustrate my point... I brought them a vintage Miyata road bike to refurbish. After a lengthy talk with Brian, I upgraded my rear wheel and tire, bought a new saddle, re-taped the bars, and did a tune-up. The parts/labor cost about $300.00. After I got the bike home I started to clean it up and discovered there was a crack in the frame. I took it back to the shop to have it

A friendly, well stocked, family friendly bicycle shop in Hollister. The staff is well informed and took time to get me matched up with the correct bike for my size, my riding style and my pocket book. I was not pressured to purchase nor was I dismissed. A zeal for cycling is evident in the store and staff. Prices were average but service was excellent.

Nice little bicycle store in hollister owner operated and ran.
They offer bicycle services, Specialized bicycles and, bicycle accessories.
The prices are higher than department store but the quality of the merchandise is better and you can't find it anywhere else in town. Bought a Specialized hardrock maybe four years ago still rides great.

First off, the customer service is poor. I took in a brand new Trek bike and asked for a tune-up quote. They quoted me $90. I then proceeded to ask about other services, parts and products unrelated to my bike. It felt like I was pulling teeth to get answers. The looks on the two salesmen's faces were as if to say, "lady stop wasting my time." They also had a bit of an attitude. Overall it is a pitty because other members of my family have high-end bikes which need servicing and they will end up losing out. This brings me to my second point...over priced! Probably due to
