Our native Austin Stone Sunday cottage is a one-of-a-kind treasure. The Stone Cottage is modeled after the German Sunday houses of yesteryear that are unique to Fredericksburg. These cozy one room homes were the weekend retreats of rural farming families when they came into Fredericksburg to shop and attend church.
The name of the cottage was chosen from the local area that was once called Grapetown. The old one-room school house can still be found a quarter mile up the road. The native Austin Stone Grapetown Gasthaus was hand-crafted by the local artisan. The guest house, located at the end of Donkey Trot Trail, offers scenic seclusion as you enter through the cedar privacy screen.

Peaches and the donkeys were just precious. Bathtub was way too cramped. Hot tub didn't seem hot enough. Loved the peace and quiet. Wonderful cottage. Thank you!

The worst part about staying here was having to leave! We stayed at the Barnhouse for a weekend. It was better than I hoped it would be. The property is beautiful, and the house is immaculate. One thing that caught me off guard was the quality of the food they provide. I was able to ask the owners for some to take home. Very warm and inviting couple, who live on a separate house on the property. They are very friendly but also give you space to explore and relax on your own. We had planned on going out to Fredericksburg but ended up just staying in the whole time. I thoroughly recommend TimberRose

I can't say enough positives for this incredible bed & breakfast! I wish there were 10 stars to give. I had 3 nights' reservations in the adorable Grapetown Gasthaus in February 2021. The decor was charming, designed by Rose, and both she and Tim met me soon upon arrival to welcome me. Tim advised me to go into Fredericksburg and buy dinner for the next 3 nights, as the weather promised to be cold and icy. The Gasthaus was so welcoming, I happily obliged. I spent 2 days reading and enjoying the winter weather outside my windows. Rose had provided delectable homemade pastries and sausage yummies

We just returned from our stay and it was so nice and quiet. Even during COVID they made the stay very welcoming. All food was prepackaged and delicious. We stayed at the cottage that had the name “Grape”
In it. We liked the privacy it provided being the furthest away. A wild fawn kept visiting us so awesome! Very peaceful.

This was my first stay at a b&b and I must say, it will be very hard to surpass. We had the most amazing experience staying at Tim and Roses. From the animals, antique touches, hot tub, kindness of Tim and Rose, homey feel, amazing food...I will forever recommend this beautiful gem. The only problem was that we didn’t book for longer!!!! We are already planning our next, longer stay. Thank you both again!

Visited TimberRose B&B for our anniversary recently and had the best experience. We stayed in the stone cottage and loved everything about it. It has everything you need for a relaxing country getaway while also being only a short drive from town and several wineries. Tim & Rose have created something very special out there and I highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area. We will definitely be returning!

We loved our stay in the Country Cottage. We were looking for something a little out of town (didn't want to stay on main street), and this was perfect. The cottage was a perfect setup and had everything we needed for our weekend getaway. The way the cottage was furnished and decorated was perfect, and the breakfast items were all homemade and fantastic. Also, the location is really close to most of all of the activities we wanted to do. It's only a short drive to get into town for the shopping, but it's even closer to all the main local wineries. Also, Luckenbach was only about 10 minutes away
