A charming seaside retreat nestled on the bluff at Discovery Bay.framed by the majestic Olympic Mountains, frequented by bald eagles, otters and blue heron, offering miles of sandy beaches strewn with sand dollars, providing peace and a place to relax. Soak up the sun on lazy afternoons, beachcomb, swim in some of the Northwest's warmest waters.
A step back into nostalgia where feather beds, fresh flowers, lace and gracious hospitality welcome you. We are just a 5 minute walk from the head of the Larry Scott Trail (part of the Olympic Discovery Trails), a beautiful and scenic woodland walking, hiking and biking trail that goes all the way into the heart of Port Townsend.

Bay cottage is set in a dreamy fairytale. The garden it hosts in front of the bay is the perfect place to feel relaxed and to just listen to the waves. Ed is very friendly and accommodating. He helped us with our trip plans to make sure we made the best of the whole area in our short time here. When you get to bay cottage, you will be welcomed with open arms and a plate of freshly made cookies.

This property is beautiful.Ed the owner is quite the host.
He did not miss a thing.from the sherry left for you ,as a night cap,to the homeade cookies, which by the way are delicious,to the pancake mix, just in case you wanted them with there maple syrup.
The Bay cottage is like stepping back in time, with the simple charm.and the beautiful property that it sits on overlooking Discovery Bay.
This is a must stay if your traveling to port Townsend!!
Well done,and thank you,

We've only stayed 2 days but it was so peaceful. The host Ed was so nice. He had cookies, orange juice, coffee, some syrup and even brought more on and homemade cookies the next day. The beach is nice. They have a place to sit and just hangout on the deck. If you wanted to bbq you can and a fire pit. There was hummingbirds flying around. Lots of birds just flying by and chirping.
There is a one lane drive way. Don't smoke but if you do then you can't. No fire on the beach. Which is fine.

Bay Cottage was a complete delight. We shared the two bedroom cottage with my sister-in-law for one week. The view of Discovery Bay was beautiful. Ed, our host, was helpful and accommodating. The location was perfect for attending a wedding in Chimicum, easy access to Port Townsend and Olympic National Park.
This is where we would want to stay when we return to the area.

Bay Cottage is a beautiful, restful and romantic getaway. We were greeted by Ed, the host who is warm, inviting and even baked cookies and had them set out in our cottage. There are actually three cottages here to choose from. The beach is private and surrounded by beautiful homes. Port Townsend is a great place to visit. It is rich in history, great parks, old forts, a lighthouse and quaint shops that will leave you with a desire to return.

What a wonderful and romantic place to stay. Jenny's cottage was everything we expected and then some. Ed met us and gave us the tour. We were greeted with maps, delicious cookies, strawberries, fresh ground coffee, and more. The views from the porch were stunning. The beach was to die for. Spent one morning just beach combing. The room was cozy and warm with the fireplace. We hated to leave our cozy retreat.

My wife and I wanted a later-in-life (OK, late in our journey together) break from reality. Bay Cottage is like living in a wonderful old romantic movie--it can not be real. We were warmly greeted and respectfully tended. Ed, the owner, was a most gracious host not only with the cottage but with recommendations for local places to visit and to eat. The cottage is convenient to Port Townsend, but at the same time, far enough away to be its own fantasy. The cottage was cosy and calming. We enjoyed every minute of our recent week there and look forward to another visit.

We visited in April and had a wonderful stay at the Bay Cottage. It was roomy and bright, and visited by hummingbirds every day, which was a treat. The view to the Bay was gorgeous, and the back porch was a perfect place to relax with a book and coffee. The beach was all ours, and we went down several times to look for shells and sand dollars. Ed was a great host, always available to chat, to see how things were going, and make recommendations for eateries and local places to visit. We loved PT so much, that we spent our whole time visiting the town, the gorgeous Victorian homes, its shops, and

My wife and I just got back from Washington state and were able to go spend a couple of nights at the Bay Cottage while the kids stayed with Grandma. This was a wonderful little escape. A friend of ours recommended it and it was just an all-around wonderful experience. Our cottage was lovely (We stayed in Jenny's Cottage), we caught some great weather and the views of Discovery Bay and the Olympic Mountains are extraordinary. I hope to get back up and visit more often in the coming years.
