Services
Martin and Suzann are owners and full-time managers of Olympic View Cabins. They are close by so are available whenever you might need. Suzann Pilot purchased this area in 2004 and their son designed and built the cedar Compass Rose House in 2010. We had a vision for over 30 years of a family compound where we could live and share a beautiful natural environment with our son and daughter.
You won't find anything better if you want a natural, peaceful, private Pacific Northwest experience! Serenity awaits you. THE COMPASS ROSE HOUSE is one of three separate homes on over 15 acres, all with Olympic Mountain views. These secluded rentals offer you a haven to explore all the diversity the Olympic Peninsula has to offer.
Nestled in a meadow overlooking its own private pond with a view of the Olympic Mountains, this small cottage has all the peace and tranquility you could want. You can lounge on the porch in your pajamas all day if you like, enjoying the pond and the Bald Eagles nesting in the nearby trees or enjoy easy access to surrounding trails and peaceful roads that lead into the Olympic National Park.
Meet the newest edition to Olympic View Cabins, "The Barn Cottage". A tiny home that packs in everything you need for your Olympic Peninsula adventures. We have completely repurposed the former Stable Masters quarters into a modern, open spaced, studio style home. Perfect for your Olympic Peninsula vacation.
The city's and towns of the North Olympic Peninsula are located in one of the most diverse areas in the county, if not the world. Within 60 miles you can go from one of the wettest areas in the Continental U.S., the Westend Rain Forest. Sequim is surrounded by natural beauty and full of small-town charm.

Could not have been a more wonderful stay at The Compass Rose house. This is an amazing place! Suzann was quick to communicate and has thought of everything for this property and your stay, including warm cookies upon arrival! The home and location is so special. We absolutely loved the mountain view from the hot tub!

We recently stayed at the Olympic View Cabins for our small destination wedding. These cabins are absolutely incredible!!!! We booked all three and all of them are gorgeous, well kept, clean, and holy cow the Log Cabin has the most amazing view!!! We ended up doing our entire wedding on the lawn of the Log Cabin because the view was so unbelievable!!! And Suzann was great to work with and super helpful with suggestions! We hope to be able to come back some day!!
The amenities were great. The beds were comfy. The cabins were nice and cool in the summer and I imagine would be warm in the winter

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Log Cabin for the weekend and it was the most beautiful and peaceful weekend we’ve ever had. The cabin is cozy and very clean, and has everything you could ever need for a fun weekend away from the city. We spent our weekend drinking coffee outside watching the sunrise over the mountains, driving to Olympic National Park (which is only a half hour away!), and playing board games at night with the fire cracking in the background. What more could you ask for! What made the weekend even more special was that there were so many animals we saw just naturally grazing

The views were absolutely stunning! I couldn't have felt more relaxed spending time in these very clean, very comfortable cabins. They had everything we needed and more. They even had a french press and a little drip coffee maker for making the delicious coffee we bought on our way to the cabins. I would stay here again in a heart beat and look forward to someday returning to see the Olympics again from these beautiful cabins.

My wife an I stayed at the compass rose house for 4 days in January 2018 and it was perfect. We have been staying at cabins for over 20 years on both sides of the cascades and this little piece of heaven has got to be one, if not our favorites, sure to return Lord willing. The owners are great to serve or never to be seen, the views are majestic and beautiful, peaceful and private. The cabin is beautiful and has everything you need, you won't want to leave , we didn't. You won't regret staying here its absolutely beautiful here.

We recently rented the Olympic View Cabins grounds and all three cabins for our wedding. It was really important to us to choose a venue where we could spend quality time with our guests, more than just for a few hours in one evening, and everyone could enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Olympic Peninsula. OVC was perfect! We had stayed at the Compass Rose house when we got engaged and quickly realized that the mountain views and wildflower meadows would be the ideal scenery to say our vows. Suzann was an absolute joy to work with throughout the whole process, going out of her way to make sure

Peaceful, scenic, well kept log cabin with a well stocked kitchen in Port Angeles, the closest town to the Olympic National Park entrance. Views to Hurricane Ridge; pool and jacuzzi; pond with fishing rods to try your hand, and a fruit garden - our 9 and 12yr old boys absolutely loved the outdoors. As for us, we rally enjoyed cooking in the cabin and ended up not eating out much, as the cabin was so cozy, with the large fireplace and lots of refreshing rain outside. We only left to visit the varied parts of the Olympic, and were really happy to be back in the cabin again. Beds are comfortable,
