Anthony Belo, DPT, Owner of Total Performance Physical Therapy in Williston Park, is a New York state licensed doctor of physical therapy. Dr. Belo underwent his physical therapy education at New York Institute of Technology where there is a strong focus on manual therapy techniques and hands on treatment approaches.
Electrical stimulation is a commonly used modality in physical therapy. Your body runs on electricity and electrical stimulation allows us to use this as a way to help healing. What electrical stimulation does is send an electrical impulse into your body causing your muscle to contract and then relax.

Anthony saved me from having surgery. I was very apprehensive about starting PT but the entire staff made me feel so welcome and comfortable. What was diagnosed at an orthopedic office as a tear requiring surgery was fixed thanks to Anthony. I can’t thank him and his staff enough for the time they spent with me and how much they helped me fix my issue. All of it was done with compassion, understanding, and a great knowledge of their field!

I went to see Anthony because I was having a hard time walking in my 3rd trimester, and was in a lot of pain. I wish I had gone sooner because the stretches, massage and heat therapy helped so much! Everyone in the office was so caring and friendly. I highly recommend Total Performance for anyone who needs Physical Therapy.

Love this place. My daughter sprained her ankle during soccer and had trouble weight bearing. Anthony and all of his staff are awesome. They got me in right away, flexible with her schedule and always work around her sometimes teenage attitude. Cant say enough good things. Of course they got her back on the field.

My dad and I have been going to Total Performance since the first year that they opened. Anthony and his staff have gotten me through many bouts with my back and neck and my dad his knee. They take the time to explain what has happened to you and why. They listen and really care about getting you back to feeling good again. There have been times I've been in a lot of pain and Anthony made sure I was able to be seen that day. They all are very accommodating and just a wonderful group of people. If you are in need of physical therapy this is the place to go to!

Anthony and his staff were so welcoming and caring. Dr. Belo took the time to talk to me about my car accident injury step by step to figure out the best treatment plan. I feel that him and his staff work very hard to provide one on one care to patients in a great environment. The place is very clean and organized and everyone is very kind and polite. They make sure to make appointments in a way that no one is waiting too long. I will continue going to more sessions and give total performance PT five stars!
