Dr. Schmidt is a native of Fremont and went to Linden elementary school. He graduated from Fremont High School in 1990 then attended Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska from 1990-1994. He graduated with his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1998.
Because we provide both medical and routine eye care, we accept a number of insurance plans to help cover the cost depending on your individual needs. We accept most insurance plans. If your vision insurance type is not shown below, it is possible that we will be able to provide out-of-network benefits for you.

I have been there for years with no problems but my last visit wasn't not good. After my eye exam, I ordered my personal and safety glasses ( for work). They called me 2 weeks later cause my personal glasses were in. At that time the approximate time for my safety glasses were about 2 more weeks. After 2 months, I called to see if my safety glasses were in. I was rudely told that they were not in and they will call me when they are in. It's now 6 months later and still no call. No follow up call or nothing!! Never going back.

Staff are always friendly. Dr Schmidt doesn’t make his patients feel like they are on a timer and is always willing to answer questions and do what he can to get them what they need… I’m very satisfied with the entire clinic!! I can stop by anytime I need an adjustment or new nose pads and they jump right on it! Office was recently redone and looks great!!

When I go to my vision exams, I always know I will be well taken care of. The staff is always very welcoming & always smiling. Dr Schmidt does an amazing job with my kids during exams & explains things throughly. Three out of four of us have glasses. We absolutely love going to Lindsay while picking out frames. She is so professional, fun, knowledgeable and honest! If there are any questions, she is sure to have the answer! We love Lindsay & everyone at Dr. Schmidt’s office!!
