Naomi Piga and Versallie Capote-Piga are board-certified pediatricians trained in diagnostic and therapeutic medicine that focuses exclusively on children from birth through early adulthood. Their extensive medical training encompasses not only the treatment of disease, but also nutrition, growth and developmental issues.
Dr. Jonathan Piga is an internist trained in diagnostic and therapeutic medicine that focuses exclusively on adults 18 years and older. His extensive medical training encompasses a broad spectrum of diseases, from simple upper respiratory tract infections to multiple medical issues like diabetes with high blood pressure and high cholesterol levels.
Piga Primary Care Associates are doctors committed to the care of our patients. We look forward to seeing our little ones grow up to become healthy individuals, and to ensuring our adult patients continue to enjoy living healthy productive lives. A homegrown North Texan from a family of physicians, Dr. Jonathan Piga was born and raised in Plano, Texas.

Patients are seen by appointment only. You may call our office to schedule an appointment any time during normal business hours. Should you have any special issues or complex medical problems to discuss with the doctor, please inform our staff when making the appointment so that adequate time is allotted to address them.

We chose Piga because my husband went there when he was younger. I highly recommend this office to anyone who does not have a pediatrician or is transitioning from another. I have two children (2, 4 months). My 4 month old is high risk and am BEYOND grateful that Piga Primary has been a safe place for us to visit before covid, during Covid and now. They are intentional about how they do things because they genuinely care for each of their customers and their parents. I appreciate everything they have done for me and my family!

First, there are 2 doctors, Naomi Piga who's the pediactrician.
5-stars. Great with kids. The good reviews below seem to refer to her.
The 2nd doctor is Dr Jonathan Piga the internist.
One-star.
Went to him years ago for annual checkup. Of course we took blood test, when he found out that I had high cholesterol, he charged me a sick visit fee, which I wasn't expecting. I was expecting the annual check-up fee to be 100% covered by insurance. But he charged me for sick visit, and charged insurance for annual check.
Then, he diagnosed me with a thyroid disease called

This is absolutely THE WORST primary care experience I ever had. They made you pee in a plastic cup instead of a nice covered container for urine analysis. They asked to do an EKG on me as part of an annual physical, which was totally unnecessary for a healthy relatively young female who is not overweight, non-smoker and non-drinker (so I refused to do). Dr. Jonathan Piga explained that I should get my Vitamin D checked because I was a female, which I did, but my insurance Anthem denied that as it's not medically necessary. I should have read the reviews before wasting time and money to come and see this man. I don't understand how he is even practicing and I advise any black person thinking of setting an appointment with him to NOT do so. This doctor, and I use that term loosely, is every person of color worse nightmare. He is arrogant, condescending, looks down on you and speaks to you like you're an idiot. Not to mention he is loud, I felt like the whole office as well as other patients heard and knew what I came in for all privacy thrown out the window. I don't know why it took me this long to switch from our old pediatrician to Dr Naomi Piga. We love Dr Naomi Piga! She has great bedside manner. She's caring, sweet, and very knowledgeable. She takes her time and I never felt rush when I take my kids to see her and we never waited more than 10 minutes. The nurses are great and staffs are all so sweet. I'm so glad I found Dr Piga and she is worth the drive!

I do not recommend this doctor. First, seeing his nurse he was rude two consecutive times I visited. He seemed unhappy and impatient. Dr Piga didn't evaluate me for what I came in for and instead of giving me a ADHD evaluation he assumed I was med seeking and (along with his nurse) and gave me a depression screening. They came back and said I wasn't depressed. Shocker! That's not why I was there. What's even more embarrassing he doesn't know a darn thing about ADHD stating memory is not a component of ADHD. After consulting with other professionals that are more knowledgeable in this area, of course

After just being a patient for a few years, I have finally had enough of Dr. Jonathan Piga.
His arrogance and very poor bed side manner really needs a tune up. Unfortunately he also carries the mentality that you're only a patient and he's the doctor and your input is irrelevant.
I need to find me a Dr. who shows a interest in what I say. Who has a better bedside, who is humble and thinks of you more than just the next patient.

Dr. Piga is so great with my little ones and they absolutely love her. She is very knowledgeable and her staff is always so polite. My son pricked his finger and had a fit to go see Dr. Piga just for a bandaid. He gets excited when we are just driving by the office. They truly make Dr. visits a joy.

We just switched to Piga Pediatric from a practice in Plano, at the advice of a friend, and I'm so glad we did! Dr. Naomi Piga is wonderful! She was so sweet with my daughter and put her completely at ease. I know my son will love her too when he goes for his well visit soon!
We moved from California over a year ago (where we had a great pediatrician) and I was hoping to find a doctor for my kids here in Texas who also had great credentials AND a great "bedside manner" - luckily we have found both in Dr. Piga!
