I have been requesting a refund for services that were never rendered for almost four months, now. During the past four months, I have called in and left four voicemails (never a return call) and spoke with a manager on three different calls (who has yet to follow up), then moved to another supervisor (whom I just left another VM for).
Update 3/29/21 - Was passed off from Dee Dee, up to her supervisor (Alena), whom I've now left (4) voicemails for, with no return call. Had to call credit card company and dispute the charge.

The worst, most unprofessional office I’ve ever seen. They overcharge for appointments never made, you can’t get in touch with anyone, and if you do, they don’t know what they are talking about. The wait times and lack of communication were red flags, but being billed months after not having an appointment is ridiculous! Stay away!!!!

Stepanoff is pretty good and so is the Psychiatrist Dr Revilla . But the front office is absolutely terrible. They actually hung up on me for calling and asking them if my insurance problem is fixed and it’s been a whole month. I’ve Been calling frequently because I’ve been going without my depression and anxiety medications and it’s starting to mess me up.
Update. Been out of my medications for two weeks after leaving countless messages to get an appointment so I can get refills and They either don’t answer the phone, hang up on me , or the system is down. Very frustrating.

Doctors and Therapists are knowledgeable, caring and flexible but the office staff is terrible! Because my medical team is so amazing, I try to schedule my appointments directly with my therapists or ask about my prescriptions via email. I have been at ABMH for almost 2 years and have experienced major improvements in my condition. However, I avoid the office staff at all cost, they are unorganized, unprofessional, and completely indifferent to the patient's well being.

First of all I have never had a huge problem with this place. Roy Elavazo is the best psychiatrist I have ever had. MOST staff is decently friendly. However Lucille/ Lucia is so unapologetically rude that I had to make a comment. She should not be working with mental health patients, and she single handedly makes me not want to go up to the front desk.

HORRIBLE FRONT DESK STAFF. I have been going here for 2 years now and was unceremoniously dumped. In addition to that, front desk staff hung up on me. When my doctor stopped seeing patients they switched me to another practitioner who began overseeing my medication. When I called to make my monthly appointment they informed me I could no longer see the doctor. I was NEVER informed of this, the practitioner never once mentioned it to me, and the front desk staff was atrociously rude. When dealing with people's mental health you would think they would have more grace, but they don't. Not to mention

Really a horrible facility. If you have any intention of improving your mental health, I suggest you look elsewhere. Not only are the Doctors dismissive, they’ve questioned the legitimacy of my requests many times. The front office is inept, I have missed a week of medication TWICE because I’ve had to hound the front office incessantly to make an appointment. I get sent to the voicemail dozens of times before I finally get a response. Honestly not one to leave a bad review, but this is people’s mental health. They are coming to you for care on an already stigmatized and difficult process

I've been coming to Advances for about 2 years now and have had nothing but positive experiences. Dr. Stepanoff helped me realize I was suffering from PTSD and bi-polar type 2. The diagnosis worked wonders in allowing me to understand (and maintain awareness) of trigger behaviors and methods to work through them.
During this time period, I have also been through several of the IOP group therapy programs (IOP, EDIOP, DBT) and each have offered wonderful insight into my own behaviors and those of friends and family members enduring similar traumas. My individual therapy with Amanda has helped me

This place is pathetic and that’s at best, the front office is awful and unprofessional and very bad in scheduling. My son has had to suffer through mess for years, averaging 1 hour wait before being seen. We have experienced 1.5 hours in waiting and then we were lied to on numerous occasions by the girls in the front office; I don’t know how they keep their jobs with their performance.
Most people wouldn’t have a job with how they treat paying customers. I am really looking for another psychiatrist that has an office that respects their clients.
Please consider another office before you
