I have worked with OPIS for about 23 years, they have never let me down, they've always been quick to the response, and produced work that is superior and trustworthy. My experience has both been personally and in business, and they have always stepped up. If I could give six stars I would. Most home buyers have questions about the house they are buying.

I can not even believe they did not check the attic at all, however they told me they checked it.
Literally, there is a sign in the attic saying it's leaking here. They did not mention anything about it and told me things in the attic looked fine.
I have serious doubt whether they are even qualified to inspect your roof or hvac. They just missed so many things. And they will not be responsible for anything after you paid them.
If your realtor recommend this company, it maybe because the realtor know that they will not be able to find the problems in the house and it's easier to close the house

My first exposure with OPIS was in 2001 when we were interested in an old farmhouse. The inspector was very professional and courteous. He generated a detailed report and reviewed all issues that needed addressed. I feel we were well informed. We’ve lived in that home now for 20 years and I can say without question the inspection was spot on. When I need a home inspection, without question OPIS is my choice.

A team of 4 professional inspectors looked/evaluated our house and barn prior to purchase. They took their time explaining their findings and concerns along the way. The report we received was detailed and complete - giving us all of the information we needed to negotiate repairs and the peace of mind to move forward on the purchase. Highly recommend!

This company inspected my house for a prospective buyer this week. I came home from work hours after they were done to find my back door unlocked, one of the burners on my stove left on, 4-5 windows treatments tangled/knotted up, and the thermostat set 10 degrees lower than what we keep it on (their report stated they ran my furnace for 30 minutes. . .why that long?). I didn't hire the company, obviously, but I wasn't thrilled that they could've burned my house down.

This is my second time using this great organization! Very prompt, professional, excellent attention to detail, and thorough- enough said! Terrible home inspectors, we havent even been in our house a year and had to spend over 15k for a new furnace/heat pump, new garage doors because they weren't even installed properly and a new electric water heater which has a metal drip pan which is against code. We moved into our house and and for the first 2 weeks we did not run our air or heat… when we finally did it did not work. We called out heating and cooling had the guy inspect the unit and he said the unit hadn't been working for awhile due to all the corrosion. These were major issues not even addressed or looked at.
