Monroe Chocolate Spa & Nails

It is unfortunate the staff is so unfriendly. I requested gel nails but the next thing I know I am getting set up for dip powder, and when I bring it up to the man doing my nails he literally says that I am aggravating him. The nails here are honestly hit or miss, its infrequent they come out nice. I have had some serious damage done to my nails here, the pain lasted for weeks. I've had to grab nail files out of staffs hands because they just weren't doing it right. They complain about my tip that was given to them right in front of costumers. Awful. My daughter made an appt and then called a few days later to confirm time and tech. they said yes yes. when she went to her appt her name was no where to be found. My daughter showed them the calls from her phone but nothing and told her to come back at 5pm from an appt at 1pm . If an appt is made that is because you are available at that time not when they say. They do nails so fast and awful and careless its like a factory nail place they dont even take time to massage properly its sit and then go service NEVER recommended and if no star was an option would definitely give.

I went in to get a gel manicure. The lady took the color numbers down and didn’t bring the right colors. She did my nails in a rush and was speaking in her native language to the worker next to her and he kept looking over at my nails. I think that’s rude and unprofessional. The Polish chipped off in less than 24 hours. The top coat she used was partially covering my Nails and looked horrible. They didn’t even ask me to wash my hands. They rushed and did a poor job. Never again!

They do a great job with toes, but They take so long on nails. An hour and a half for just a fill before she even started painting them. They have some nice stickers but I’ve gotten them before and they peel off. Sorry but they really can’t paint designs. I asked for a design and when it was looking really bad after one finger I asked her to stop and just forget it and leave it half way just so I could move on to my pedicure. She agreed with me that the design wasn’t looking good and said it was because my fingers were too small. She still charged an extra $10 for the half done design which

I asked them to take the acrylic off my nails and the lady literally used a metro card to take them off.. she didn’t file or even soak my nails and RUINED my nailbed. If I wanted to rip the acrylic off my nail bed I would have done it myself. Never again, my nails hurt so much

Whatever you do don’t waste your money here. I got my nails done 2 days ago with UV gel and gel color tell me why they are chipping 4 fingers are chipped I called the manager and he told me to come get them fix and I asked if they could just redo the color and I would pay the the $10 that it should be but he told me it was $39 with the full and the girl there over charges me by $6

After going to several nail salons in the area which all required appointments, I decided to go to Chocolate Spa. They took me in. Mind you the place was filled, but they took me in. I only waited like 5 mins without an appointment. Since then I only go here. I found home! Seven is the go to girl!!! Super friendly. She was constantly checking in with the length, shape and color of my nails.

Don’t really know where all the negative comments come from. You know the place is BOMB when is always packed!!!!! These people take you even without appointment if they really have space they will make space for you. I loved my nails by Tina. I have been there 3 times and have done my nails with Seven and Tina. They are both awesome and I’m sure everyone else is.

I made an appointment for a regular pedicure and gel manicure with designs.
pedicure was first the man who was doing the pedicure said “gel or powder polish?” i said “regular please.”
“regular no good” i asked “why not?”

I made an appointment to get pedicures for me and my daughter. Got there and had to wait. They called other people before us.. I really didn’t like that. Then, they started my daughter’s pedicure first... I waited for a few mins and then my guy started on me. Before I knew it he was done! He finished before the lady who was working on my daughter. That shows me he took no care whatsoever. Also, I wanted a hand drawn design on two toes and they said no, only on gel polish. Would have been nice if they’d told me that before!
