Snow Farm Vineyard
Snow Farm Vineyard and Winery began as a dream and passion in the mid-1990s to keep our retired dairy farmland as agricultural land in the Champlain Islands. With land becoming more valuable for its development potential, we were concerned with losing what makes Vermont unique. Fortunately our dream became the dream of others, and together, Vermont's first commercial grape vineyard and winery came into existence in 1996 with the first grapes being planted in 1997.That very same year, our tasting room opened it's doors.
Services
Wine tastings are done as flights with an array of tastes from sweet and smooth to dry and full-flavored. With eight of the nine common styles of wine available, there is something for everyone at our Vermont winery. Located on the shores of the Champlain Islands, our unique climate allows us to grow grape varietals not grown in other areas of the northeast.
Online pick up orders are processed Monday through Thursday only. Once your online order is placed, please allow up to 72 hours for your order to be processed. Someone from the winery will contact you to let you know your order is ready and you may schedule your pickup at that time. If you need faster processing/pick up, call 802-372-9463 to place your order instead of ordering online.
From grape to glass, winemaker Patrick Barrelet, puts love and life into each bottle of our award-winning wines. The taste comes from a combination of the terroir, Patrick's training in France, and our unique Vermont climate. Bring a little piece of the Champlain Islands home. When you purchase a wine club membership, you're supporting small-batch Vermont wine made locally.
Discover extraordinary things to do in Vermont at our shoreline vineyard. From concerts to art workshops, to farm to table dinners, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Not often are Vermont bands compared to upper echelon Boston bands. The Phil Abair Band is the exception. Winners of the Burlington Free Press Reader's Choice Award for Best Band the PAB is a perennial favorite.
Discover intimate spaces and surround yourself with natural beauty on your big day. The vineyard, mountains, and lake create a backdrop for deep connections with the people you love the most. Our craft wines transformed from carefully tended grapes, are a symbol of love for the land. We're a small family-owned vineyard and that means we offer more flexibility and individual attention than other venues.

Nice destination if you're biking on the causeway trail. Wine we had was typical ma and pa vineyard fare, but the view from the patio makes that wine taste great!

What a cute little vineyard to do some wine tasting. The view was beautiful and the staff was friendly. Was just visiting Vermont, but if I return this is a must stop location. Their ice wine is AMAZING.

Lovely facility, beautiful location, helpful and pleasant staff, wide selection of snacks, etc. My partner and I shared a tasting flight of red wines, intending to each purchase and enjoy a glass of our favorite. Alas, none were to our taste. Maybe the whites are better? Maybe some of them would be better after cellaring? It's hard do make a good wine on the East Coast. Still, we enjoyed the respite on cycle tour.

Beautiful winery with very friendly staff. There were 3 tasting areas - we chose the patio because it was a beautiful day. The wines were great - took home a souvenir glass and a bottle of the Rose Red.

One of the best experiences at a New England vineyard; and for no outstanding reason. It was just effortless, not rushed, great wines (especially the whites, all aged in Stainless) and a multi-faceted venue that can provide a great experience to varied tastes. We had a tasting and then finished with a glass of our favorite white with cheese and crackers. Perfect late summer day, great attendants and an exquisite selection of wines. Will be back with friends!
