Services
We coordinate informal and formal events of all sorts, including: wedding/commitment ceremonies and receptions, corporate meetings and retreats, black tie dinners, birthday parties and bar and bat mitzvahs. When it comes to coordinating a memorable party or event, Sharon Wentworth can do - and has done - it all.
The Elm can host as many as 145 guests, or make a cozy atmosphere for as few as 20. Inside and out, the Elm offers tranquility, atmosphere, and charm - right in one of Baltimore's most appealing neighborhoods. Nestled under a canopy of sweeping oaks, maples, and other hardwoods (but no elms), The Elm is a renovated carriage house originally built before the Civil War.

Turn right out of parking lot onto Mill Rd., then right on Elm Avenue, then immediately jog left onto Falls Cliff at fork in the road. Be sure to park in the Mill Centre lot (marked on the map) and not on the adjacent Crittenden Services lot. When a party takes place at The Elm, someone will be on the street to help you with parking directions until 15 minutes after the start time.

This venue is difficult to review because on one hand the location is beautiful and the cocktail hours before dinner was fabulous. The hors'douvres were scrumption and if I had known what the dinner would bring, I would have eaten a lot more. Because the down point, and I mean this place bottomed out with our family style dinner. After salad, we all waited about an hour for the main course which consisted of of enough veggie couscous to serve one person at our table of six, and the dryest chicken I have ever had in my life with some green schmeer on it. My brother and sister in-law got married at The Elm this evening. This was not their original plan, but due to Covid, their original large wedding party had to be postponed. The Elm was a great space for a small ceremony, but still allowed room for social distancing and a bit of outdoor socializing after the ceremony.
I believe they were able to put it together fairly quickly and I thought it turned out very nicely.
