Canterbury School
Canterbury School is a Preschool-8th grade co-educational Episcopal day school in Greensboro, NC. Canterbury's mission is to develop the whole child by challenging the mind and nourishing the spirit in a diverse community guided by Judeo-Christian values.

Founded in 1993 by a group of parents, Canterbury offers strong academics and small class sizes; a Preschool-8th grade setting where children don't have to grow up too quickly; an intentional focus on the mind, body, and spirit; and recognition that the best education occurs in an environment where students are exposed to a variety of people, perspectives, and ideas.
Services
From the first day of school, when new students walk into the chapel and are recognized by name, to the last day of 8th grade, when they walk out of the chapel as graduates, Canterbury students - and their parents - are part of a community. Parents, teachers, and administrators are a team, working to create an ideal learning experience.
Canterbury exists because a group of people dreamed of a school that would educate the mind, body, and soul of a child. An even larger group of people gave generously to make that dream a reality. Every gift since has supported the people and programs that make Canterbury so special.

Canterbury offers a special educational experience thanks to the generosity of parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, staff, the community, and friends of the school.Since our founding in 1993, donors have helped build a beautiful campus and create an educational model that produces students who are prepared to succeed at any high school or college.
Canterbury's alumni are shaped by service learning, academic and physical challenges, spiritual development, and the arts to become leaders who confidently share their unique gifts with the world. Welcome to Canterbury School's Reopening Roadmap for the 2020-21 school year. We have quite a journey ahead of us this year, and no one yet knows what twists and turns the road will take and what detours may be required.

However, with a team of veteran educators, medical professionals, and industry experts as our guides, we have developed a plan to reopen for the upcoming school year that prioritizes the intersection of safety and the best learning environment for our students.

Being honest it's a step above public school
But there a magnet school all around worth looking into that are more well rounded.
Like greensboro academy.
Other private schools are worth looking into
As this school has gone more into a stricter
Less family orientated school.

I am a former middle school faculty member at Canterbury. I was honored to work with such a fine group of people and serve such wonderful students. I have nothing but praise for everyone involved at the school, I would recommend Canterbury to anyone looking for a K-8 school with small class size, high academic standards, caring faculty, and endless opportunities to grow and flourish. And, it has the most beautiful chapel you have ever seen!

Canterbury is a great place. I have two kids going to school here and they love it. I think they are getting the best education possible. They emphasize developing the whole child as well.
