Our family had a rough time with this funeral home Karen was very rude every time we called and she kept pushing our family to cremation which we don't believe in also we Finally moved our loved one because it was unpossible to come up with 10,000 then dropped to 6,000 no financing available i Finally got a chance to talk to Justin who was very helpful while we're talking to him in one of the rooms Karen was on the out side of the door listen to my complaint and busted through saying I called her the B word which never was used in my vocabulary never again

My tenant passed away and was taken to Forest Meadows. He had no next of kin. The office manager, Karen, was unbelievably rude and uncooperative when I tried to get information so I could properly dispose of his things. This really is one business where nasty rude people are not to be tolerated. When I finally got past this Karen woman and spoke to a funeral director, I was at least treated courteously and I was given the information I needed. But I would avoid this place: rude, unprofessional, unaccommodating. The last thing you need when dealing with death, for goodness sake!

My Mother recently died on August 12th and we just found out this week. There is a lady named Karen at the Gainesville location that said we couldn’t view my Mom’s body without money down, asked several times, she told me a cremation would cost over $3000 and I told her I didn’t have that kind of money up front, then she said, Come Hell or High… Water if that was my Mom I would find a way to come up with the money! How insensitive can you be? My Mom didn’t raise me but that doesn’t take away that I still loved her and wanted to do this for her. Then the lady

I cannot express how grateful we are to the staff at Forest Meadows. They made everything so easy for us. They are very compassionate and understand that when you loose a loved one and walk into their office you are full of anger, sadness and a sense of loss. Sad we had to be there but glad to be with such wonderful people .

From day one trying to deal with one of your staff things were NOT handled professionally. Address was given several times because the staff member could not copy it down correctly. When the remains were promised to be returned they were not. When questioned about why lies were stated. We ended up having to take off of work and making the 2 hour drive. Not happy what's so ever.

They told my mother in law to be there at 2 and we ended up waiting over an hour- not even exaggerating- got there right at 2 and waited after 3. We ended up leaving to have lunch then return back. They are the slowest in the world, so if you go here, make sure you are prepared to wait at LEAST 30 minutes MINIMUM.

They took the time to listen - not just to our needs but to what our mother would have wanted. They explained each step and option which helped us make our decisions. Their suggestion of a memory board with photos of people and things important to her was a source of wonderful memories raised by the friends and family viewing it during the gathering prior to the service. They took care of everything and made a difficult time far less traumatic.
