Well, do not let the beautiful clubhouse and “show” rooms fool you. If you considering moving here or considering moving your child here, DO NOT MOVE HERE.
• As stated above, our gate is broken. This gate is meant to keep their residents safe from guests or to prevent non-residents from coming in at a certain time, however that is not the case.
• In the lease, the manager and the corporate office makes it clear they do not care for the safety and well-being of their residents by releasing themselves from all possible issues. They seem to only care about being paid or being sued.

I have seen many improvements since the new manager has gotten here. We were having a few problems and anytime we would go to the office they would tell us to just deal with it. The first time me and my roommates met Tom he helped us fix everything, moved us to a new apartment, made sure everything was just how we wanted it. If you have any problems I wouldn't even bother with the office unless you want your problems to go unfixed. They honestly just tell you to deal with it so they don't have to go through the trouble of helping you. So I highly recommend going to Tom if you are having serous

This complex is the absolute worst as far as living conditions. I would not recommend USM students even consider this their home away from home while furthering their educational journey. The staff is unprofessional, the maintenance don't address concerns as they should, and the overall living conditions are deplorable. My son resided in a live infested black mold problem that was brought to their attention. I was told that the problem was corrected just to find out that they camouflaged the problem by painting over it. This is just to name a few problems. So if you're thinking about residing at

Y’all wonder why there are so many “ perks” to living here? It’s literally a terrible apartment complex. When I moved in the apartment was not clean, from the girl already living there. Roaches and nats were INFESTED everywhere . The ground and stairs were always trashed and smelled terrible . You’re destined to have overages, unless you keep your… air on 75 all the time . We did it for a month ( dying of heat) and STILL got overages . Your car gets broken into all the time so make sure to lock them and get a camera installed . Neighbors were always playing

I stayed here 2 years and 10/10 wouldn’t recommend unless you’re just opting for the cheapest student living apartments in Hattiesburg. They are looking for a way to make a dollar opposed for what’s best for their residents. I left my roomer cleaner than it was when I arrived and was still charged nearly $400 in cleaning fees and painting, and the room was unclean with paint missing when I arrived. I’m sure they get a new manager every year and this most recent one hasn’t been the best.

I regret living here. They over charge without warning and for no legitimate reason. Walls are so thin you can here your roommate breathing hard. Office has hardly ever been helpful. They don't care if you have an infestation. Please don't send your kid here. Maintainance messed up one of my appliances without telling me and then a fire was almost started when I went to use the dishwasher!
They charge you random fees and give different explanations each time you ask. The office bangs on your door multiple times a week and walks in the rooms to "check them". They even come as late as 7p.m.

My advice is NOT to live here unless you're already dying. The mold issue is horrific and all they do is paint over it. The management is terrible and they avoid your calls. TRUST me you will regret it if you get in a lease here and have to pay the entire lease to get out of it. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE.... the filter was disgusting just to think my daughter and her roommates were breathing all of this toxic air.. OMG My daughter had to go to the office to show them this nasty filter. It didn't look as if it had ever been changed. You pay rent but have to say my filter needs changing. Ridiculous

The Chelsea and Taylor Towing are operating a parking and vehicle towing scheme. I was charged $250 cash because my car was towed as a visitor to the complex. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPLEX OR TAYLOR TOWING! The vehicle towing scheme takes advantage of the residents and their visitors. The practice also places women in vulnerable situations and… exposes them to being taken advantage of especially at night and especially requiring them to hand over cash money to your contracted tow company who only accepts CASH. Also, the punishment does not match the offense. There are no warnings or tagging

My daughter recently moved into this complex thinking it was going to be a great place to live. Well, besides the issue with her lease, she has been miserable living there. She has complained about the noise from the tenants above her which lasts ALL NIGHT EVERY NIGHT but the office staff shows no concern about trying to get the situation under… control. She rarely can get a parking space near her complex due to all of the parking spots are taken up by people who do not live there and have no visitor decal displayed in their vehicle. A parking space should be reserved for the rent paying

This place is absolutely terrible! When my fiancé moved in she filled a form out stating the couch was damaged. After moving out they billed her the couch. She called and tried to discuss with them and no one wanted to talk to them or try and be fair. Also get ready for disgusting lot. The stairwell had throw up in it for weeks before they came and… cleaned it. Please do not live here unless you want unreasonable staff and terrible living experience. Please disregard the good reviews because it’s people being bribed with give aways and discounts! Completely ridiculous please

I would recommend The Chelsea because they find an available (home) for you to call your own. They have many opportunities and great staff. They really care about how your treated and what makes you comfortable with working with them. They do giveaways and little gatherings so your able to meet tenets and socialize. I’ve never felt so close to home until I moved into the Chelsea! 10/10 would recommend for college students or even people just looking for a fresh start into the adult life.
