Too much provider turnover. My wife and I, as well as my senior parents who live with us, have been patients at Matthews Vu for 4 years. My mother has had a different primary care provider every year. She was a patient of Ryan Stilwell, who left in 2019. She was then assigned to Sheldon Ravin in 2020. Sheldon Ravin left in 2021, so she was assigned to Brena Branch, NP.
We just found out today that Brena Branch is no longer with Matthews Vu either, and the only attempt to let us know was a single phone call in November. The person who called said that someone picked up the phone but then hung up

I took my 84 year old Mother-in-Law their today, symptoms were very strange. I was very impressed with the timely manner and the concern of PA Sullivan. She was concerned enough to send us to ER for further testing. I have worked in the healthcare field for over 30 years, and I was impressed and appreciative of her concerns. My Mother-in-Law is good, and the whole process, starting with this visit was impressive. Thank you!

I have been a patent at Matthews-Vu since 2015. Well no longer. I was having symptoms of COVID so I isolated and took a test and it was negative. I waited 3 more days and tested again and that test came back positive. I made an appointment to see Dr. Coleman due to not getting any better after 6 days of symptoms. I went in to the appointment on my 7th day of symptoms and he refused to see me. He stated since it had not been 5 days since I tested positive that he could not see me in the office. They offered to reschedule with a tele-health visit, but I needed someone to listen to my lungs and you

I had a wonderful experience at Matthews Vu Urgent care the past several visits! The staff is wonderful and Dr. Paul Edwards was remarkable! I came in for a sick visit, but he went above and beyond making sure I had my medications up to date and a medical note for my employer. Amazing! Thank you guys!

I think my experience can best be described by the following 2 interactions:
1: Being scolded, yes literally scolded, by one reception desk because I was “late to my appointment” despite having been 20 minutes early, because the other reception desk did not check me in, even though they said they would.
2: Two different kinds of military paperwork being losses two separate times, and the paperwork not getting to a doctor until the 3rd time I called. This is after the doctor didn’t do it the first time when I handed it directly to them.

I took my child in for a visit because she was displaying symptoms of strep. These doctors immediately want to jump to assuming its covid. I was then questioned about if all of the adults in the home were vaccinated for covid and given a lecture on why I should be vaccinated for covid. Truthfully I felt over stepped and bombarded. These doctors do not take the time anymore to look into anything else rather than covid and it’s infuriating because my child could have had tome better spent on her. Include that in the testing yes, but our whole conversation didnt need to be around covid and then

I don’t even have the words for how horrible this place is. I’ve been battling the behavior health side for weeks trying to get medication refilled. Medication I depend on to function and the withdrawal was agonizing. I’ve yet to receive a call back. With pediatrics I had a no show on a telehealth appointment with no explanation. The appointment is for a referral to a specialist that my child needs to see ASAP. I left 2 messages with receptionists for that issue with a promise of a quick response and never received a call back. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

We have been with Matthews-Vu for almost 5yrs now and they WERE fantastic. But now, they have taken on so many new patients and made it more of a corporate set up that you have to book an appointment weeks in advance. So forget sick visits, those are a thing of the past. And good luck reaching them via phone without spending your morning “waiting in line”. If you choose Matthews-Vu, you can expect the majority of your care to be through the urgent care office, which you’ll be waiting hours (yes, HOURS) at to be seen. I absolutely do not recommend this doctors office.

I would give zero stars if I could due to lack of receptionist training and nonexistent tact. Unsure if it was one person I interacted with multiple times or if there really are a multitude of inept individuals in this particular healthcare system but truly unacceptable. I have tried to schedule an appointment for two weeks due to their staff double booking their doctors, not understanding the general pediatric population, not following through on call backs, and having a “faulty system” where wrong appointment locations are sent out.

I saw a new doctor that apparently has joined the clinic named Patrice Kiesling. She is outstanding! This Dr. is unbelievably positive and nice, accommodating, a great listener and for the first time in MONTHS I slept over 6 hours last night! You can tell she loves and values her job and patients. I hope she never leaves the practice because she will forever be imprinted in my mind for her kindness to myself and my husband. When people are having severe pain, love and understanding is all we need and she’s good at it, really good.
