Jim was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa. He received his BA from Luther College, obtaining a degree in biology in 1991. After his undergraduate education, Dr. Jim went on to receive his dental degree (DDS) from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1995. As a graduating senior, Dr. Jim was selected by the dental faculty to present the commencement address for the graduating dental and hygiene classes that same year.
Wendy, was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado. She received her BS in nursing from the University of Northern Colorado in 1988. She worked five years as a registered nurse in oral surgery and cardiology. Her nursing career allowed her to work in both Iowa and Texas. She made her career change in 1997 when she received her dental degree (DDS) from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.

Dr. McCreight is the best!! I have bad jaw issues that I went to him for, and he immediately put me in contact with specialists near my university who could give me the treatment I need. He routinely checks up with me and makes sure I'm in good health; he honestly cares so much about his patients. All the staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make sure I'm comfortable and receive the treatment I need. I've never written a review before but this place deserves it!

I just wanted to again say THANKS to Dr. James, Dr. Wendy, and Anna at McCreight Progressive Dental for taking my emergency appointment during the holiday season. I wasn't even in Steamboat Springs 24 hours and had a dental emergency after arriving from Atlanta. I was very nervous not knowing what direction my tooth problem might be going, but after walking into their office I knew within minutes I was at the right place. The whole Team made my first time visit and emergency appointment so comforting. Dr. James walked me through my options and took photos of my problem tooth so my regular dentist

Though I am new to this dental office, the team at McCreight has made me feel like a long-time client. It is noticeable they truly care about your comfort during visits. Since I've had different visits interacting with most of their staff (Dr. Jim, Dr. Wendy, Jessica and Anna) I can speak to the friendliness and great care from all of them! The chip in my tooth is fixed and the options and approach to arrive at a solution I was extremely satisfied with was discussed with me the whole way. I had recently moved to Steamboat, and did not yet have an established relationship with a dentist in town when I began experiencing severe tooth pain. I got in contact with the McCreight Dentistry team who was able to see me the next day. They set me up with a care plan to take care of my tooth, and were there to answer all of my questions along the way. It is evident that everyone in this office truly cares about the outcomes of their clients. McCreight is truly next level dentistry. Had a crown done by them and it was honestly almost painless. I sat in the chair clinching as I usually do expecting the worst. After I realized there really was no pain, and their calming tone, I relaxed. I'm 60 and have been to the dentist my whole life, I have never had care like this. Truly next level. I'm not nervous about going back for anything.
