Richard Witty grew up in Laurel, MS. He attended the University of Florida and University of Southern Mississippi for his undergraduate education. He then attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center for a master's degree in Biomedical Sciences and then his dental degree from the School of Dentistry.
Dr. Witty completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he received advanced training in: general dentistry, the placement and restoration of implants, bone grafting, advanced periodontal treatment, root canal treatment, surgical extractions of wisdom teeth, and IV conscious sedation.

Moved from “the big city” to Steamboat, and the folks at Dr. Witty’s practice are by far the best I’ve ever had. From the receptionist, to the hygienist, and the Doc himself, all were friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable, ensuring I was comfortable and informed. Very, very pleased to have found them. Highly recommend if you’re in the market.

Awesome place. Knowledgeable doc, attentive staff, very considerate. I am only part-time here so they worked with my out of state doc to get some x-rays emailed so I paid less during my appointment for x-rays. I appreciated that very much. Cassandra did the cleaning -she is super detail oriented and thorough!

I had an old filling fall out over the weekend, and as someone that has never liked going to the dentist, the last thing I wanted to deal with was trying to make a last minute appointment at a new dentist. I was caught by surprise at how pleasant my experience was at Steamboat Dental, from the immediate response of the front desk and dental hygienists, to the expedient process of removing and replacing my filling in record time.

I am in AWE! A dental experience is somewhat negative for some people. At my age I try not to take anything or anyone for granted. With that said, it’s hasn’t been an easy course. It’s been difficult for some of us to figure out the puzzle of safety and social expectant. The frame of words matter.

Had an amazing experience at Steamboat Dental Center. Read the reviews and this practice lives up to their rating. I was in town on vacation, here to enjoy everything Steamboat has to offer and bit into a piece of food to find that my molar chipped necessitating a crown. My wife found Dr. Witty online and he made what should have been an unpleasant experience pleasurable, making me second guess my dentist at home. His technique and technology are cutting edge. Please consider him if you have any dental issues, emergent or not.
