We are a Denver metro area recycling center paying competitive prices for non-ferrous metals such as copper, brass, aluminum, stainless, nickel and lead. We buy other items such as circuit boards from your electronic devices and buy precious metals. Most often we offer more money than local pawn shops and other gold and silver buyers for your precious metals and coins.

We also accept many electronics including computers, monitors, copiers, many other household and mobile electronic devices. We have a onsite bin for your ferrous metals at our facility. We do not accept paper, glass or plastic. We pay out cash for non-ferrous items to most our customers with most exceptions coming to our commercial customers and customers with larger quantities of material.
Services
Action Recycling Center is a Colorado family owned and operated recycling center and has operated in the Denver metro area for over 40 years. We pay competitive prices for non-ferrous metals along with fast, friendly service. This has allowed Action Recycling Center to remain one of Colorado's leading scrap metal recyclers.
Everyone wants to make the most money possible when selling scrap metals. There are over 100 different categories of scrap metals which Action Recycling Center pays top prices to from customers in cities like Denver, Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, Golden, Aurora, Northglenn, Arvada, Thornton, and Broomfield.
Brass is not an element metal by itself but since it's used so commonly and described as it's own metal, it deserves it's own section. Copper is the base element found in brass and alloyed with a high percentage of zinc. You will also find information here on a couple of commonly bought bronze alloys.
Aluminum Recycling - We pay top prices for all types of scrap aluminum. Aluminum is the world's second most recycled and demanded metal. Aluminum, as with most metal products are never found to be 100% pure. Most consumer metal products are alloyed to match an industry precision that defines hardness, texture and strength.
Precious Metal Recycling - Action recycling has been an experienced buyer of precious metals for as long we have been buying copper and aluminum. We currently buy these common precious metals; gold, silver, platinum and palladium. We will most likely buy other rare precious metals. We have prices that blow away most the competition, locally and nationally.

I would recommend calling ahead to make sure that they take the item that is going to be recycled if it’s not listed. I also checked their hours and allowed plenty of time in case there was a line (no line when I got there but as I was leaving I noticed there were two vehicles waiting in line after me. I took in some metal (steel frames and steel signs) and they were able to recycle them. I was looking for convenience and a quick easy way to drop off an item. Some places offer cash but with the cost of petroleum and inconvenience it was easier to drop off items here. Bruno helped me unload the

Nice people and very helpful. I have dropped off several cast iron tubs and other scrap metal. They didn’t pay for steel but they clearly stated that when I called ahead to ask. It would have cost me over $100 to take them to the dump so I consider it a win win. Prices constantly change, so call ahead and you won’t be surprised

I didn't pay attention till I got home. I'll never go there again.

Hello there!
So there's a few misconceptions about this place (Action Recycling Center)
With COVID-19 being in place, their hours have changed like most other places, even big stores such as Walmart. Their hours Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30Pm & Sat 8-4Pm. Also when it comes to closing, like every other place, they ask for people to come 15 minutes before, so don't be that person who shows up last minute.
They do have a strict policy as well with masks (it's mandatory).
They are pretty nice people too, when you see a person on the street with no mask (nowadays), the average person doesn't just go up and

I understand you have to draw the line somewhere, but when the attendant watches you pull in, turn around because there's no other parking, Park, and then walk to the gate just as the clock ticks over to 4:00 (closing time on Saturdays) perhaps they should take into account that they watched you drive in... turn around.... Park...and walk up to the gate, and allow you to make your transaction.
There also was a gentleman that was already parked had unloading his scrap and the attendant waited until it was 4:00 to turn him away. I imagine it was very frustrating for him.

I like this place, I like this place very much. I have come here for over 15 years. Patty , Nory , and especially Poncho are ALWAYS eager to help. This place is not only fair , but they are always offering incentives to come back and remain a loyal customer. Yes, they are always busy, but when a good service is offered and maintained like Action Recycling and Wardle Feed, EVERYONE wants it. Hats off to you guys, Thanks Patty and team. You have a Outside representative and a customer for life.

I'd been taking my items here, like old stereo speakers, to be recycled and I am very grateful that this place exists to have your items recycled. At times there can be quite a wait to get someone to help you take things out of your vehicle, but overall I am so very grateful. They're always very busy and hopping around that place. Customer service is okay on the phone, but can seem a bit rushed, I think because they're so busy, perhaps it can be a bit stressful, I'm not sure, but again, I would recommend this place. They took out things from my trunk for me and carried them away to be recycled
