Services
Looking for one place you could go for all your health concerns? Professional Medical Center offers family medicine, internal medicine and pediatric specialists at four Detroit locations. Research shows that people who have an ongoing relationship with a primary care physician, such as a Family Physician or General Internist, have better overall health outcomes, lower death rates and lower total costs of care.
Our board-certified doctors are affiliated with the most prominent area health care systems, including the Detroit Medical Center and St. John's Providence Health System. Joining Professional Medical Center in 2011, Rosalind Miles, RN, MSN, is the Clinical Coordinator and has been instrumental implementing processes that secured the Patient Centered Medical Home certification.
PMC has a rich tradition and legacy of service to the Metro-Detroit community, dating back at least as early as 1981, when its founder, Dr. Augustine Kole-James opened his first private medical practice and pharmacy under his own name as Dr. Augustine Kole-James, DMD, Pharm. D., PC.

Due in large part to Dr. Kole-James' caring and nurturing reputation, the health practice grew quickly and, eventually, became known as Professional Medical Centers in 1984, with five multi-specialty clinics in Detroit.Dr. Kole-James was board certified in internal medicine and cardiology.
Doctors of internal medicine focus on adult medicine and have had special study and training focusing on the prevention and treatment of adult diseases. Internists are sometimes referred to as the "doctor's doctor, " because they are often called upon to act as consultants to other physicians to help solve puzzling diagnostic problems.
PMC provides primary pediatric care at several Health Centers throughout the community. Our team includes board-certified pediatricians, nurses, nurse practitioners, therapists, social workers and other specialists who provide comprehensive, family-centered care for a wide variety of acute, chronic and complex children's illnesses.
