I moved to Galena about 2yrs ago. I hesitated getting new doctors but, Im happy to say.. I'm very pleased with the care treatment I've received there. I Had surgery today and I would like to thank everyone in the surgical dept for their excellent service and care that they provided. Everyone was very nice and Dr.Schiffman did a fantastic job. The receptionist, nurses and doctor were all very kind. The receptionist was very apologetic that they didn’t have a bed for us right away but we only had to wait 20 minutes, which wasn’t bad at all. The nurses and doctor that treated my son were great with my 2 yr old little boy that had a laceration on his forehead. It was very scary for him when it came time to actually put the stitches in and I was so so nervous, but Nurse Corey was very reassuring that as long as I was ok, that they could do it and I had complete trust in them. So I held my son’s hands and was able to look at him and

Spoke with kunea or kisha , anyways girlfriend gets really severe double ear infections that can cause her to go to the emergency room. called to set an appointment and this useless nurse kept saying to go to an eye doctor bc the pain had made her vision blur. She at no point was listening to me and asked if she had flu like symptoms , upon saying I wasn't sure. she said she wouldn't make an appointment with out a covid test . we are both vaccinated and an eye doctor will not help with a double ear infection. if anything happens to her due to neglect and laziness I will pursue this practice with

My grandma came in and had a stroke. They did a CT scan and sent her home. During that time she was slurring her speech and confused. Still they sent her home! Next day I go check on her and tell my mom things that are not normal. I’m a nursing student btw. Because I’m only 17 and can’t make an appointment. My mom called her doctor and said to get her to Dubuque Mercy ASAP! We get there to find out after a MRI it was in fact a stroke! She could of been dead! She could of had permanent brain damage! Thankfully she will make a full recovery by the grace of god. If your in the area plz go to

I am a student at Platteville. Because I am from Illinois, at the time all of the Wisconsin hospitals would not prescribe antibiotics because my insurance would not cover it. So I had to drive an hour out of my way to this hospital, and the previous Wisconsin hospital called this one ahead of time to make sure they were open, and let them know what was going on. When I got here though, they looked me over and told me there was nothing wrong with me. They would not prescribe anything and told me to go back to Wisconsin. It was not until 3 months later when I had a bacterial infection in my throat

By far the best experience I’ve ever had with an emergency room. While I would never wish an emergency visit upon anyone, if it does happen, this is the place to be. In and out with broken ribs after x-rays and a very helpful and knowledgeable staff within 45 minutes of checking in. Could not be more satisfied with my visit. If only this were my hospital in my hometown! A nurse called a couple days later just to check in and see how I was feeling, such a friendly environment. Everybody working there almost makes you forget you’re in the ER!

We were on vacation and wanted to get our 7month old checked for pink eye. I called Saturday morning, they told me to come in to the clinic. We were in and out in an hour. The staff was great. The nurse practitioner that we saw, Peg, couldn’t have been nicer. She was great with our daughter! Checked her out completely and decided it was an eye infection. Thank you Midwest Medical for getting us into your beautiful facility in such a timely manner so we could get back to enjoying our vacation.
