Sentinel Primary Care is a general internal medicine practice where we provide primary care for individuals 18 years old and older. We opened our doors in 2017 to offer Triangle residents top-notch primary care services in an attentive, membership-model setting. Dr. O'Connell doesn't just tell you what's going on with your health; he explains it with so much detail and patience that you understand exactly what is happening and why. He has got to be the best doctor in the state.

This place is so special! From the friendly staff to short waiting times and of course, Dr. O’Connell. He is the best, most knowledgable, caring and patient doctor I have ever had. I'm used to quickly asking questions as I'm already being guided out the door at other places but he takes the time to listen to your concerns, answers your questions and really makes you feel heard. I have had a few issues for a while but no doctor ever took the time to actually listen to or explore my concerns like Dr. O'Connell does. I'm so happy I found this place and can highly recommend it to anyone!

Dr. O'Connell is an exceptional physician - highly competent, compassionate, honest, and responsive. His welcoming and skilled staff are always remarkably helpful and mirror Dr. O'Connell's interest in and attention to his patients. If there were an 11 on that 1-10 scale, I would have given Sentinel Primary care an 11. They always go above and beyond.

Dr. O'Connell is the best family doctor I've ever had. I don't know where even to start. He is not trying to get you out of his office as soon as possible like other doctors. I could come with a few complains and he spends time to listen and to take care of all them. He is very analytical and super knowledgeable. I liked him so much that I signed up my son too. It is pretty easy to see the doctor. We don't have to wait a week or so to see the doctor which is great. Cindy and Michael are also very nice. I would recommend Dr. O'Connell to anyone with 100% confidence.

I highly recommend Sentinel Primary Care. I have been a patient for over a year and it's been a great experience from the start. Dr. O'Connell is brilliant and friendly and takes the time to explain things in detail. The staff is just as wonderful. I receive timely and high quality responses to my inquiries. It's never difficult to get scheduled for an appointment. Prices are very reasonable. There is a reduced membership so that anyone could afford services.

I really like knowing that I'm not going to be rushed during my visit. Dr. O'Connell takes the time to listen attentively, and discuss my options for treatment. I have found him to be very easy to talk to, and his genuine concern for his patients is evident. I will start by saying that Dr O'Connell is one of the best doctors I've ever had. The practice administrator Michael and Cindy the practice RN have been beyond helpful, kind and informative. Dr. O'Connell is compassionate, he listens and is extremely knowledgeable in the field of medicine. The phone is always answered promptly, scheduling an appointment is easy and quick. I would highly recommend Sentinel Primary Care and Dr. O'Connell to anyone looking for quality and compassionate medical care.
