Dr. Gunjan Nigam, MD completed Family Medicine residency in 2006 from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. As a Family Physician in Cary, she strives to provide a caring, relaxing atmosphere for each patient while working together towards optimal health and wellbeing. She is particularly interested in diabetes management, women's health, heart-health, pediatrics, prevention of chronic adult diseases.
For routine refills please contact your pharmacy to request a refill electronically. Due to adverse risks of medications, a patient requesting renewals of medication who has not been examined within the preceding 90 days, will not be refilled. Related to certain medications, patients will be required to complete blood test every three months to allow continued usage of some medications and provide renewals.
A Department of Transportation (DOT) physical is a health examination mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) for commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers. A DOT physical helps determine if a driver is physically, mentally, and emotionally fit to operate a commercial vehicle.

The Nurse practitioner, Lara, refuses to write a simple clearance form for a specialist regarding a medical condition that is typically monitored by your primary care physician. I had been to all scheduled appointments for this and was not experiencing any issues so I was not expecting any issues, however when called she stated she would not write a letter clearing me for the medicine a specialist deems I need, not based on medical concerns, nor an evaluation, but stated that she did not and would not be held liable, so she simply won't do it. I had no problems with this office in the past and

This is an awesome place of family physicians. The physicians are really professional and generous to listen the concerns. I have finally founda GREAT family practice! Dr. Lara S. is Amazing! My wife and I recently went in for physicals and are extremely happy. All the staff is very pleasant and office is very clean. I felt extremely comfortable talking to Dr. Lara about anything, she made both of us feel at ease and not embarrassed to talk about anything we were concerned or curious about. Dr. Nigam is the BEST! She genuinely cares about her patients and listens to them instead of just brushing things under the rug like most modern day physicians.
I have full trust in Dr. Nigam and recommend her to anyone. From walking in the door and the office staff knowing you by name without you having to tell them every time, to Dr. Nigam’s compassion and ability to see you same day in most cases she is always my first call for anything medical.
