Rosacea is a common skin disease that presents as facial redness. It is a tendency to blush or flush more easily than other people. Sometimes facial rosacea presents with pimples. The facial redness usually is a classic sign of rosacea but the redness can slowly spread beyond the nose and cheeks to the forehead, chin, ears, chest, and back.
Keloid scar can appear anywhere on the body. As these raised scars grow, they may feel painful or itchy. A keloid that covers a joint or large area can decrease a person's ability to move that part of the body. Not everyone who gets a scar will develop a keloid. If you have keloid-prone skin, however, anything that can cause a scar may lead to a, keloid.
Do not wear tight clothing that rubs against the incision while it is healing. Do not lift any heavy weights 3 weeks after excision (surgery) otherwise an incision can break open. Your doctor may decide not to close it again with sutures (stitches). No showering for 24 hours after excision. Take Tylenol (Acetaminophen) over the counter for discomfort, if no contraindications.

I visited a few different dermatologists in the TR area and was not happy with any of them. Then I found Quality Dermatology and I’m so grateful! Visits are always quick and efficient, the staff is very kind, and Dr Flaks is the best! She is very knowledgeable and has such a nice, calm demeanor. She always explains everything well and answers questions. She and the rest of the office make each visit painless and pleasant! Could not recommend enough!

I had been grappling with a chronic issue with my New York City based dermatologist for 3 years and had pretty much given up.
But after one office visit and treatment with Dr. Flaks, it's cleared up in one week flat -- I'm quite amazed! Dr. Flaks is a phenomenal dermatologist who really knows her medical specialty inside out.

I went to Quality Dermatology for hives back in May. Dr. Flaks took 2 biopsies on 2 different dates and sent them to Penn Medicine instead of LabCorp which is what my insurance requires. So instead of costing me zero I am faced with a bill for over $1880. I have contacted the office at least 8 times to no avail. A representative from Penn said that the practitioner would have to contact them as my problem is that she sent the tests to them without my permission. The one time I did speak to Dr. Flaks, she handed the phone off to the receptionist in the middle of our conversation and walked

Dr. Flaks did such an awesome job with my chronic melasma on my face. Being of South Asian origin my skin is prone to dark spots if exposed to the sun. Not only did she prescribe a mild yet fast acting skin bleaching cream that was especially prepared for me (it has worked wonders!) but she had very effective advice to stop recurrence as well. For example she did say - it’s ok to enjoy being on a poolside but best to go back into the hotel past noon. She’s just terrific, has an awesome bedside manner! 2 thumbs up Dr Flaks!

This person is a nurse not a physician (MD or DO). That means she is not, in fact, a dermatologist. After college, Dermatologist go through 4 years of medical school and 4 plus years of residency training. Ms. Flak’s website is very misleading. I was quite disappointed to realize I had made an appointment to see a nurse (not clear on her site). Demand a board certified dermatolgist for your care and the care of your family. I am.

Tried calling for appmt 8/13/18 @ 215PM. Woman put me on hold for 5 minutes, so I called back and asked if she forgot me, she said NO I DIDN'T FORGET YOU I DIDN'T FORGET YOU I HAVE A LOT GOING ON HERE. I said you can call me back, I'm busy here too. Gave her my number, no call after 60 minutes so I email them through their contact page. Twenty minutes later they called, guess they read the email. Won't bother calling back, attitudes are not needed. The owner should get a Facebook or Twitter account so she can know how the staff is treating people....

Quality Dermatology is a great practice! The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful! Dr. Flaks solved my daughters acne problem quickly and without antibiotics. She was very friendly and took the time to answer all my questions.

I’ve been going to Dr. Renata for a long time. She is the only dermatologist who takes that extra step to see exactly what you need. I know that when I make my appointment i will be in and out with exactly what I need unlike other doctors offices. I’m so thankful to have her as my dermatologist!

Usually I am not one to review places but today is a special occasion. The dermatologist was NASTY!! She treated me like complete trash and made me feel like my skin was disgusting. Considering I already suffer from self confidence issues she made me feel like I would never be good enough for anyone. If you ever consider going to a dermatologist I would highly recommend not going here.
