I grew up in rural Pennsylvania. This upbringing introduced me at an early age to the medicinal power of a healthy diet, and a regime of hard work. My grandparents lived on a rural family farm nearby. Because my mother was a single parent who raised 4 children, we ate what we could afford. By stroke of luck, my grandparents raised grass-fed cows and grew organic fruits and vegetables.
They didn't do it because it was healthier, they did it because that is what the Earth gave them. Despite living healthy, my family knows about mental health challenges. I was put on Lexapro in my teens. It didn't work. I've seen firsthand what anxiety and depression did to my sisters. They went through the conventional medication cycle, and mostly they struggled.

Although Dr. David Kirk, ND is based in San Diego, CA, this does not limit the clients he serves. Dr. Kirk is able to work with clients across the country, as he offers in-person, phone, and FaceTime appointments. Initial 3-hour intake appointment, plus 45-minute follow-up appointments once a month for an entire year.

I brought my 13 yr old son to Dr. Kirk for persistent headaches. Every time he got in a car, felt stressed or for no reason at all would have migraines. My 90 yr old uncle was suffering from hallucinations. I reached out to Dr. Kirk after reading his lengthy and inspiring Instagram posts. Living across the county from him didn't seem to matter as he was very eager to help. I cannot thank Dr. Kirk enough for his care for our infant son. Our consultation with him was such a welcomed improvement from the care we had been receiving. Dr. David Kirk is a god send! I have been suffering for over 10 years from a chronic mycoplasma pneumonia, chronic cough, fibromyalgia, aching and burning organs, lungs, skin... so many symptoms. Within the first session Dr. Kirk had it narrowed down to Arsenic poisoning. Our first session was about 3 hours and he asked so many questions. He really cares about his patients and helping them.
