I grew up in the heart of Lebanon where I was intrigued by the amazing food my grandmother, mother and sister would create. I came to this country with big dreams of starting a family and owning a business of my own. Ten years ago, I was fortunate to become owner of Mama's bakery, and since then it has been an honor to share my culture and passion for Lebanese and Middle Eastern food with my customers and community.
We've found exactly which items are our favorites over the years. The meat plate, which comes with chicken, beef, kofta, salad, hummus, and a pita, is outstanding. It's like $12 and probably enough to feed two people, honestly. So freaking good. The chicken is so tender that it falls apart. One time I drove from college in irvine on a Sunday with a friend just to quell a craving for Mama's.

I don’t know what happened but the food has changed. The spices are off. The beef plate tasted and looked like carne asada. I order the falafels as well and they are dry and bland. The cooks need to be reacquainted with the traditional recipes. Sadly after many years as a customer I will not be coming back.

Their stuffed grape leaves was horrible the rice stuffing on the inside was soured and sticky it was terrible, so I ordered couple of other things such as a side of rice and a meat wrapped thinking that it cannot get any worsening than my stuffed grape leaves. The rice was very dry and wrapped meat was old and dry not very well seasoning and on top of that I think the owner over charged me for my second order, the menu listed the wrapped was $10.49 and the rice was $2.49 and when I paid it with my credit card for the second time it showed $16.99 ??? The math doesn’t add up correctly… overall

I agree with fellow yelper Matt: THE QUALITY HAS GONE DOWN!
I haven't visited this place in 3 years or so and this is not the same food as before. The chicken sharwarma was not seasoned like it should be and it was dry. The beef shawarma was dry and was more like meat you use for stew. I asked for garlic sauce (2 sauces on the side for $1 each) and they didn't include it in our order. Even when I ordered I asked if they have a chicken kabob plate and they told me the chicken shawarma is the kabob plate. Chicken kabob is not the same thing as chicken sharwarma. WE WILL NOT BE Returning

This place is just 5 mins walk from my house. It was my first time to try this spot and I got their beef shawarma plate and baklava for take out.
The service was quick and the serving was very generous however I wasn't very impressed with the food.
When I got home the food was cold, and the meat was more sour than savory while the salad dressing was bland.

Love this place for authentic Middle Eastern food. The prices are great, food is delicious, and drinks are wonderful! The portions are massive and the staff are so nice - definitely a place I'm happy to support.
I particularly loved the baba ghanouj, chicken shawarma, coffee, and tea. Highly recommend!

I love this place. If you're in a hurry, I'd suggest you place the order ahead of time but it's truly a hole in the wall place to eat. I typically will get their chicken cheese shawarma wrap but have enjoyed eating their cheese pie, grape leaves, falafels, and chicken salad! The staff is nice and if your in the mood for some Lebanese food, definitely check it out!

Oh mercy, this was an insanely delicious meal! I had the Ultimate Manaeesh with fried eggplant, paired with a spinach and cheese pie. I was simply just not prepared for how good this would be, and I ate myself stupid for my lunch. The Manaeesh was an overload of pleasure on the palate, and several times I hit a new little flavor pocket that made me love it even more. I ate the WHOLE thing, mostly because I was headed to the airport and could not keep it, but I'm not really sure if I could have stopped myself either way.
While the Manaeesh was a pleasure assault on the senses, the spinach and cheese

I really wanted to like this place. I went for the first time in two years. Two years ago the place was great! I wish I could say the same today. The quality has gone down hill.
I got the chicken pita, tabouli, and grape leaves. The meat was very dry, tabouli tasted off (I had to throw it away because it tasted so bad), and couldn't finish the grape leaves.
I hope the quality improves, but I left extremely disappointed especially after reading some of the reviews. I did notice most (not all) of the positive reviews are from over a year ago. The place has changed for the worse.

Almost every time I've come here, it has been amazing! Very flavorful and fresh tasting. This last time, however, the meat was a bit dry on the Beef Shawarma plate and there wasn't as much rice as normal. The Chicken, Cheese and Pesto Pie was interesting, but I wish there was a bit more pesto flavor to it.
The staff is also always really friendly and they're always patient with answering any questions you have.

It's my neighborhood go-to and I couldn't have asked for anything better.
In the land of taco shops, Mama's is the perfect reprieve. I generally get the chicken wraps, salads, and desserts. Their portions of chicken is generous in the salads and solid on the wraps. The desserts are always spots on.
The typical wait time, is roughly 15-20 minutes.
The way that they wrap the wraps, is brilliant. I wish tacos shops took a note for the burrito wrapping techniques.

The Tabbouleh had hair in it, I know it wasn't mine because I had to pull it out and it was ingrained into the mix. I did not see hairnets on kitchen staff either. I don't care as much, but I think others will.

Food was fairly quick, my friend picked up the food, they must have accidentally picked up the wrong food, no number, no one said anything until later, no attempt to resolve the problem. Meat is very dry.

Aside from that the seating is shaded, but not as great on a super hot day. Food is edible, it wasn't disgusting. It's a deli. But because of the aforementioned

Tried this cute little bohemian cafe located in north park for the first time and was blown away by how delicious and fresh the food was ! Also noted that they have a wide selection of premium and organic drinks , some of which looked like they were imports (yoghurt drinks / rose and herbal teas and organic kola - my choice and so yummy). I tried the garlic chicken wrap which was out of this world , it was full of delicious chunks of well seasoned chicken and this creamy garlic paste that I could eat everyday ! Their felafels with fresh house made hummus were soft and pillowy , full of flavor with

During a walk in the the North Park neighborhood, I saw a crowd of people waiting for their to-go orders at Mama's close to dinner time. A crowd signals delicious food and it definitely peaked my interest.
I ordered a Garlic Chicken Wrap. It was prepared in less than 15 minute and came out nice and hot. The pictures do not do the wrap justice. The wrap was very fresh and they did not skimp on garlic with the chicken. I enjoyed the overall flavors going on with the wrap.

Mama's Bakery and Michoz are the local Lebanese competitors. Depending on my taste buds determines who is the best. I can say this, Mama's is always good and never misses the mark. Variety of choices for vegan, dairy-free, carnivores and plain eating folk.
I can go on about each dish but the chicken schwarma is a Top 3. Add extra pickles and easy feta. A well-presented wrap layered with grilled chicken, green leaf lettuce, tomatoes, tahini etc. No skimping on any ingredient.
Prices are comparable to a sit down restaurant without gratuity.
Cash and cards accepted. Dine-in or to-go and catering

Don't be deceived by the appearance and size of this Lebanese deli, their food is delicious and tastes so authentic! For Covid precautions, they offer carry out orders which are ready within 10 minutes. Their menu has a variety of options to appease the vegans, vegetarians, and meat-eaters with all items tasting extremely fresh and well seasoned. They also serve a middle eastern flatbread, Maneesh which I've never before!
My favorite item to order from here is their Falafel wrap that is filled with plenty of hummus and sauces, making each and every bite so enjoyable. Their falafels taste

I absolutely love this place. I’ve been coming here for years. The food is always fresh and full of flavor. My favorite thing to order is the Chicken Shawarma with Tabouli Salad. I will warm you in advance the menu is quite overwhelming on the first visit but just take your time and you will find what works for you. They has tons of options. In regards to beverages; they have a cute little refrigerator full of small batch & limited edition drinks. If you prefer a regular soft drinks I guess you’ll just have to wait until go somewhere else this place only serves the crowd favorite Rocky Mountain

I picked up Mama's Bakery & Deli for lunch. Cute little takeout restaurant with seating outdoors. I ordered the beef shawarma salad and my husband had the meat lovers wrap. My salad come with lettuce, radishes, tomatoes, cucumbers. Overall, it wasn't bad. The salad comes lightly dressed, so ask for dressing on the side if you're not going to eat it immediately. The beef shawarma wasn't my favorite--it was gritty. Beef sometimes tastes gritty when its been sitting at the bottom of the warmer for too long. My husband liked his wrap -- great portion size, great bang for your
