Beth Block
Beth's therapeutic approach is an integrative and eclectic one, combining contemporary western psychology with eastern spiritual practices. Beth draws from Freudian and Jungian theories, humanistic and transpersonal theories, blended with the buddhist psychological concepts of mindfulness and compassion; additionally, Beth has extensive training in sandplay therapy and play therapy.

She has a sandplay room in her private office, where she invites clients of all ages to explore and work in the world of symbols as well as words. I do not currently accept any insurance coverage as payment at this time; however, most group plans do provide "out of network coverage" which allows you to choose your preferred provider.

It would be my privilege to be a part of your unique healing journey. I am honored by the opportunity to help individuals find a greater sense of peace, ease, and contentment in their lives. When we are anchored within ourselves, to what we feel and want and who we are, living can become a beautiful and vibrant expression of our true selves.
Stress and the challenges of life can take a toll even on the best marriage or intimate relationship. Once stress responses like pursue-withdraw or attack-defend start to take hold, they can turn into vicious circles that take over the relationship. Once I understand each of your perspectives, I can provide a third party perspective to help understand why your relationship is stuck, breaking down, or has lost connection or intimacy.
My systematic approach towards couple therapy is defined on the lines of enhancing the communication between the partners, and establishing short term and long term goals, where both the partners would be given their own schedules of expectations to be fulfilled, effectively working towards improving the relationship.
Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an empirically supported 8-week program designed to cultivate the skill of Self-Compassion.
