Kristin grew up in metro Detroit where she started "playing restaurant" at her grandparents' house. Her grandma had a stepstool in the kitchen so she could see over the counter to measure and mix and her grandpa taught her the fine art of pouring a beer and a drink for friends and family in the basement bar.
As an independently owned restaurant group, over the last thirty plus years, we have identified four core values we operate by: great food, superior hospitality, community connection, and respect for the individual. We care for our guests, our community, and our staff equally. It is to the last point that we write this letter.
The Hearthstone is the perfect location for celebrations! Whether it's a wedding, birthday, anniversary or family reunion, we can provide a customized menu that will complement the occasion. Operating in a gorgeous 130 year old Victorian House - since 1989!
I strongly suggest the Chai Old Fashioned to start off!
The homemade gnocchi was amazing!
The atmosphere is quaint and cozy!
Reservations are definitely needed and worth it!
Best spot to dine is in the bay window on the second floor!

Everything in this restaurant was excellent, the food is very good, all the dishes I ate were delicious, the service is good and friendly. It is very difficult to make a reservation, everything appears reserved in the app of open table, but if you call the restaurant directly they can make exceptions

A wonderful restaurant with a superb staff!
Our bartender Benji was extremely knowledgable regarding the menu and offered his suggestions on appetizers, dinner and which wines to pair with our meal (all of which we took)
The wait staff, to include our "sassy" waitress Angie, was terrific and even though the restaurant was crowded the staff stayed on top of everything.
The appetizers which we ordered were the Charred octopus served over arugula and accompanied by chorizo was grilled to perfection! Sweet, smoky and in a light pepper vinaigrette. The Mochiko Chicken with ginger kimchi was also

I shared a great meal with my girlfriend here on 12/1/21. The food and service were both very good. The server provided good recommendations on both wine and food. Our favorite dishes were the blackberry elk Ribeye and the gnocchi with pork belly. The gnocchi was non traditional but still a good dish. The espressotini was delicious as was the desert - English sticky toffee cake. I would pass on the buratta. Environment was a little cramped and it seemed like they were in a hurry to turn tables, the food and most drinks came very quickly. Old historical building and seemed to be very popular. Our

One word: phenomenal! In service, food, and atmosphere. We got the best table in the house somehow. Beautiful view of the snow while we dined. The appetizers were so good we had to share them all! The lamb chops were wonderful as well as butternut squash soup. The creme brulee and smore brownie were a good finish to the spectacular meal. Would recommend highly!

This review specifically pertains to the patio and happy hour. $3 beers during happy hour. Can't beat that! My favorite happy hour place so far. Happy hour here offers great prices, great food, and great drinks.
Service - 10/10 - very good. Everyone is in professional attire and well-mannered. Additionally, the service is prompt and everyone who spoke with us communicated with our actual server promptly. I.e. I ordered their $13 barrel aged Manhattan and my server put in the order based on me telling a wait-staffer that.
Views - 10/10 from the patio. Really great mountain views.

These chefs know what they're talking about. Soup came out quick and was hot and tasty. We ordered the elk and halibut. The elk was cooked perfectly and had a fantastic nutty flavor. The fish was flaky and moist. Chicken nuggets on the kids menu was also spot on. The service was spot on and attentive. Really glad we chose here for dinner.
