Enjoyable experience with decent atmosphere. Great at accommodating dietary restrictions and careful to advise on what was in each dish or sub items (example desert). I wasn't the hugest fan of the $75 prefix. I think that the food was good but a bit cold / felt like they had things prepped and just cooked the protein for the dishes. I'm sure it has to do with covid/ staffing / all the other issues happening currently in a small community.

I've had the fantastic opportunity to eat at some very cool places. Michelin, food snob, whatever. Ember is the best meal I've ever had in my life. It's absolutely incredible. We called the chef out to our table. Please. Eat at Ember.

Just love this place. Particularly love sitting at the bar, having some apps, chatting with interesting people, oh and yeah, drinks.
Super friendly staff and a psychedelically creative chef combine for a very pleasant evening.
If you come in, check at the bar and say hi!

I have had the privilege of living in this area and trying many very good restaurants from Modis to Hearthstone. However last night on a whim I walked into Ember with my partner for dinner without a reservation!

You could sit in the main dining room with a prefixed 3 course or the bar for A La Carte which we chose the bar. Will was the bartender for the evening. He handed us menus as well as a full Gluten Free menu upon request.

For a drink we went with the He-man which was perfectly balanced and delish. For all three choices, app, main course, and desert, we narrowed down to two choices and

Had a strange experience here. The good things were the outdoor glass globes (surprisingly pretty, decently warm) and the drinks (great cocktails). Also, making a reservation was easy, and they were really clear about the menu format and pricing.

We didn't enjoy the food. The two steaks we ordered came out super rare in some parts, and with a huge fat cap that was chewy and inedible. Also, the descriptions on the menu were really different from what actually came out. For example, I ordered something called a "buffalo lamb/bacon pozole", and a pozole is typically a Mexican stew

Disgusting. One of the worst meals of my life. Ember describes itself with words and phrases like "creative" and "poetry in food". I think they forgot that if the super creative ingredient mash up doesn't actually taste good then you shouldn't serve it.

The place has a nice atmosphere. A converted house. A little dark. Service was nice enough, also. The service was somewhat slow, but there was a really large party, and at least our waitress kept us posted on the kitchen. Honestly, the food was so bad that any ding on slow service could not have brought this down any

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Summit County. I have been 3 times and each time it doesn't disappoint. The food is so unique and tastes great. The three course meal is a steal for all the fancy and unique ingredients . They have nice drink menu with great cocktails. One big selling point on Ember is the dessert. I have been to several fine dining restaurants that are a huge let down with desserts. Not ember, the home made ice cream is great as well as the options!

Good presentation, but very average taste with weird mix of flavors on the plate. My duck was undercooked, my son's stake was overcooked and it dis not look/taste as wagyu beef.
The service also could be better.

Fixed priced menu with amazing proportions. Chef owned. The meal and service was good. You definitely require a reservation, and we had a bit of a wait even with reservation. If you can, try to book outdoor seating in one of their igloos.

Why four out of five? This is more due to personal taste. There were elements of the dishes that I was served that I did not like, and you are locked into a three course meal at $75. There are no other options.

Skip Ember and go somewhere else!

Cute place, good service, but dark, loud and I have no idea what we were eating other than the raw, tough piece of buffalo with gristle I was served. The server took it back to cook it a little more, but when returned to me, I was still unable to even cut it, let alone eat it.

First, we were seated promptly and the staff were very friendly. The menu was very easy to read and our selections were made quickly. However, that's where all the positives stop. The food was absolutely atrocious. The plating looked attractive, however the taste and the warmth of the food was cold and under salted. I ordered the wagyu beef which was absolutely slaughtered (I ordered medium rare), it came like a charred brick.

They quickly gave me an alternative, I ordered the scallops which were average to mediocre at best.

Comparing this to my night yesterday at Modi's Across the

Walking into ember, we were greeted by welcoming and friendly staff. Across the board the food was excellent. In particular, the sea bass was remarkable, possibly the best sea bass I have ever had. Five star all the way

Modern restaurant with a creative twist to all of their food. Sometimes the food felt pretentious and overdone, but when the interesting combos work, they work incredibly well. Kudos for trying either way. Note: not cheap. Dinner was a $75 Prix fixe menu

QUITE THE DINNING EXPERIENCE.

The restaurant is very cute inside and the service is impeccable.

The food - WOW. I had the lamb tacos (a good experience of a lifetime), the wagyu NY strip, and the cinnamon roll. Everything that everyone had at the table was fantastic.

It is a three course dinning experience so you pick a starter, an entree, and a dessert. They time everything perfectly as to when to bring out each course. My water was never empty ! (The drinks were a little strong)

Definitely a MUST if you enjoy higher end running experiences.

My wife and I had a non traditional wedding in the area last week with dinner at Ember. The staff was incredibly helpful and made everything perfect. We had multiple phone calls planning the evening and it went perfectly. The wine attic was a perfect space for our small group. Thank you again! I highly recommend Ember to anyone in the area!!!

First timing dining at this restaurant and to be honest I think the last time.

Most reviews for place talk about it either being great or being terrible, and that's what yelp is based on. Ember was neither, but that is only because every person that we interacted with at the restaurant was fantastic, enthusiastic about the food and treated us well. So it wasn't the service that yields a lower star rating.

Let's talk food. The duck to start was over cooked, dry and chewy. The lack of flavor was a little confusing- I so wanted this to taste good and it had all the frivolous plate

Atmosphere and waitstaff was amazing! Ordered a dirty martini which was subpar. Had to keep asking for olive juice because it was never actually dirty. Ordered the pork tacos for appetizer and although it was tasty due to the side add ones, specifically the guacamole, the tacos could have used more flavor. Also had the black cod which was delicious! The fish was cooked perfectly and the flavors which were matched with it was on point. Problem was my husband ordered the wagu. While advised it was a grade 2 piece of meat, it was definitely not. Cooked medium well as requested but was more chewy than

We dined at Ember for our anniversary. The chef (owner) sent complimentary champagne to help us celebrate. Both the maitre d and our server were delightful and very helpful - we were well taken care of throughout the meal. The chef's current 3 course pre-fix is innovative in flavor layering and global in its inspiration. We adored every bite! The ambiance adds to the experience of the meal, and we are new, enthusiastic fans. Can't wait to return!

Visited Ember for a birthday dinner celebration. They went above and beyond for us and had lovely fun/playful staff. We were lucky enough to get a table in one of their “igloos” and share a three course meal. Wonderful dish proportions and creative flavors. Only minus was their cocktails definitely seemed like an afterthought and could be revamped.

Ember tries to be an upscale restaurant but in my experience fails miserably. The flavor profiles, heavy handed plating, and mediocre service left much to be desired. Truth be told, I would have rather eaten dinner at a chain restaurant because at least I would have known exactly what I was getting.

I ordered the arugula salad, black cod (as recommended by the waiter), and French toast. The arugula salad lacked any sort of distinctive flavor and oddly enough there was a lukewarm stuffed pepper in the middle of the plate. The black cod was barely lukewarm and overcooked. The French toast was palatable

Truly excellent. I was excited by the menu but wasn't sure what to expect on the plate. I've been been left hungry by upscale restaurants before, not the case at Ember. Good portions for the price and the food was excellent. The variety of items prepared, all cooked perfectly was really impressive. Highly recommend it, can't wait to come back.

The four of us had dinner at Ember in August to celebrate a birthday and it was phenomenal.
Ember is my favorite type of restaurant: Chef owned and operated. And Chef Scott impressed us all with his unique and wonderful flavor combinations on every course.
To complement the food, the service was excellent. I'll highly recommend Ember for any special occasion, or even for just when you're craving something unique and exceptional.

My husband and I spent the weekend in Breck for our anniversary. It was an impromptu trip so I didn't book any reservations ahead of time. After reading many reviews for $$$ or $$$$ in Breck I decided to try and get a reservation at Ember. We were able to get one and looked forward to a fine dining experience in one of the best towns in Colorado.

FOOD
-The restaurant was only offering the pre fixe menu of two courses for $50 or three courses for $60. I knew this going into the meal and had an idea of what I wanted to order.

Our meal had all of the promises of fine dining - a comfortably appointed tasteful room, real paper menus, a good wine list, and attentive service. Everything was in place - everything that is, except flavor - and texture.

At first glance, you might think, "Wow, this place offers some interesting dishes combining interesting ingredients in some interesting ways. I am definitely looking forward to having my tastebuds rocked!" Unfortunately, almost everything I tried had the consistency of mush and virtually no flavor whatsoever.

Some examples: The dipping sauce for the papadum was

I will admit that this is the only restaurant I have been to and sat in since the pandemic started. I was in Breckenridge with Eric R.'s family, and his uncle wanted to treat us to a nice meal. Both his uncle and I are the two least interested in eating at a restaurant right now, so we were able to secure the top floor private room of Ember, which has its own outside staircase entrance, and the doors were wide open to the outside. We had a party of 9, and in Colorado, 8 is the limit per table, so in the private room, we had three adults in 2 kids on the wall-side of one table and four adults
