Clayton Road Veterinary Hospital is a family owned and operated, full-service veterinary medical facility located in Chesterfield, Missouri. With over 50 years of experience working with animals, our veterinarians are highly qualified to serve you and your pet. We provide a complete range of medical, surgical, and consultative services to keep you and your pet as happy and healthy as possible.

The professional and courteous staff here at Clayton Road Veterinary Hospital seeks to provide the best possible medical, surgical and dental care for our highly-valued patients. We are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care and health-related educational opportunities for our clients.
Services
Physical exams are very important throughout an animal's life. Since they cannot speak to tell us when something is not normal, it is important that the veterinarian is able to routinely examine your pet. For puppies and kittens we recommend exams at a minimum 8 weeks of age with continuing visits of 2-3 week intervals to complete vaccination protocol.
Emergencies never happen conveniently. Emergencies are considered top priority over everything else. Your patience is sincerely appreciated if your appointment must be interrupted by an emergency. Should an emergency occur after office hours, please call the hospital and follow the instructions given on our voicemail.
We have an in-house laboratory where we are able to obtain most results within minutes. For special laboratory testing we use an external reference lab with results returned usually within 24-48 hrs. Our DR digital x-ray machine can produce images within seconds and we have the ability to send out radiographs electronically to board certified radiologists for second opinions on x-rays if needed.
Clayton Road Veterinary Hospital performs a variety of general surgeries on site with access to board certified surgeons. We utilize the most advanced anesthesia and pain management protocols with all surgery procedures. The day of the procedure your pet must be fasted (no food or water) 10-12 hours prior to procedure.
Periodontal disease is not only painful for your pet, but can also lead to heart disease, kidney disease, fractures of the jaw, abscesses, and other illnesses. Good dental health is pertinent for the health of your pet. According to the American Veterinary Medicine Association 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have some form of periodontal disease by the time they reach three years of age!.

I needed a second opinion for my dog who has a collapsing trachea and heart murmur. They were very kind and caring for both me and our dog.

We have trusted our pets' care to Clayton Road Veterinary Hospital for over 35 years. Everyone is so easy to deal with and they have always been gentle and kind with our cats, even when the cats get cranky.

I've been taking my dogs here for 10 years. We've gone to other veterinarians in the past and Clayton Road is by far the best when it comes to compassion, knowledge, and trustworthiness.

Refereed to CRVH while fostering. Dr. Sebourn and every staff member are kind, eager to help and knowledgeable. Friendly and compassionate is how I would describe our experience. I would certainly recommend this clinic. We have since adopted our girl and even though we live 35 miles from the clinic, it is certainly worth the drive.
