JLS Consulting
James Stolz, LICSW, LADC In my practice, I help people overcome their personal obstacles to change. Together, we identify those issues which we can change and those that we can accept. In the past 12 years, I have helped people create healthy movement in their lives and to develop a balanced design for living that can serve as a foundation for years to come.

I strive to provide an atmosphere that is respectful and safe. It is very important to me that clients know that they have a voice in the treatment process so that the treatment is individualized to meet their needs. Monica O'Connell, LMFT, LADC The people I spend time with are professional, intelligent and usually on the edge of making the next best step towards health, success or a healthy relationship.
Services
JLS Consulting was created to provide people in the Twin Cities with better options for the treatment of Co-Occurring Disorders. Co-Occurring disorders (when mental health and chemical health issues occur together) can sometimes be difficult to diagnose and treat because symptoms of one can mask or exacerbate symptoms of the other.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)is an effective, evidenced based eye movement therapy that is designed to help individuals process negative emotions, physical sensations, and memories. An effective tool to resolve issues stemming from trauma, loss, and other unresolved experiences, Accelerated Resolution Therapy has been helpful in the treatment of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and as well as other mental and physical challenges.
Anxiety is a combination of both psychological and physiological symptoms that can lead to stress, physical discomfort, persistent worrying and obsessing, fear of social situations and other phobias, as well as panic attacks. People with anxiety often experience an unpleasant feeling that is typically characterized as uneasiness, apprehension, fear, or worry.
Brainspotting is an offshoot of EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy processes and was developed by Dr. David Grand in 2002. It is a specific therapy used to help process and heal trauma and stress, which can overwhelm the brain's processing capacity, leaving behind pieces of the trauma, frozen in an unprocessed state.
Whether it is a requirement for court, wanting to know what treatment options are best for you or a loved one, or a treatment referral, we can provide a comprehensive chemical health assessment and treatment recommendations that are right for you and your family. Our clinicians who conduct assessments are independent of any treatment providers and are licensed clinicians in chemical dependency.
