A patient's first visit to our office will typically consist of a consultation to explain the diagnosis and discuss treatment options. In many cases, treatment will be provided immediately following the consultation, however those patients with complex medical histories or treatment plans may require a second appointment at which treatment will be provided.

We will help to maximize your reimbursements, as well as send you a monthly statement regarding your account. Remember that insurance companies will typically respond within four to six weeks, so please call our office at 415-499-7700 if your insurance payment has not appeared on your statement in that time.
We take pride in delivering the finest dental care while keeping the costs to our patients as reasonable as possible, as such, our policy is that payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have previously been made. Great dentists. Great support staff. Cleanings are very reasonable. They work with you to create a care plan. Everyone at the office has always been extremely professional and really nice. I had a crown put in and they created it on site. Took hardly any time at all, the procedure was quick and painless and the crown is rock solid and fits perfectly. I cannot recommend them enough.

Signed up for a periodontal cleaning but received a more than superficial cleaning . the hygienist  did  not floss under my bridge or implants. She mostly scraped my teeth instead of using ultrasound . the irony is that she later explained  to me how damaging the scraping is for teeth and that was 90 % of her doing .  my gum pockets were not looked at or measured . instead she told me that I don't have  the gum disease which destroys bone  which is not in accordance with what my periodontist told me . on top of all this i was told that my implants might fall out soon and that i needed

Very efficient, organized operation with excellent dentists and staff. You realize the quality of dental care when you look around at other options. This practice is excellent. My insurance won't cover Invisalign through this dentist, but I'm willing to spend the extra $1500 out of pocket I would have had through insurance because I'm just not willing to compromise on the quality of my dental care.

I went to them in August 2021. I needed 2 crowns and a filling. They were very thorough and did a great job with my tiny mouth, which definitely was a challenge for them. The 2 crowns were made in a jiffy and off I went. They were gentle -- Rosa, the dental assistant and the doctor were really good. I'm glad I went to them to get a 2nd opinion. I will now refer my husband to them.

I had 2 crowns and a small filling that needed to be taken care of all at once. Doctor and assistant, Rosa, did an awesome job! No pain the next day even though I had to keep my mouth open for almost 4 hours. They made 2 crowns that were ready in 30 minutes! So quick! The best dentist I've ever been to! I highly recommend them!

This was my first visit to get a 2nd opinion primarily on the cost of a crown compared to the exceptionally hi quote of another dentist. I was also interested in the demeanor of the office staff and dentist as I have had a hard time finding a replacement for my dentist of over 30 years who passed away too early in life! I found that as far as costs, Marin Dental Care was much more in line with what I have traditionally paid for a crown and other services. I really got a great impression after speaking with Dr Chase for 10-15 minutes. Here is a dentist who believes in a more traditional approach

Dr. Chase discussed with me about fixing a crown-I said I did not want to mess with it-he immediately went and started grinding on a crown I asked him not to touch-he then grinded on a tooth recently filled by him-i was in there to get impressions done for a partial. There was no need for him to do what he did-I will be making a written complaint-i got the feeling he is a desperate dentist trying to make up for lost business because of COVID-19.There are too many dentist to have to deal with him-beware and stay away.

I transferred because they are part of the Blue Shield PPO.
I loved my past dental practice..Blue Apple in Rohnert Park. However, I have to say, this was a really pleasant experience.
You could tell they were having a good time working, but always professional. It put a smile on my face.
The dentist, Dr. G., was young, but have never had a more comprehensive exam. He found fractures that other dentists have not mentioned.

I HATE the dentist! Not like a normal amount of hate...like an irrational type of hate and fear! I walked into their office in so much pain from a cracked tooth. Turns out it was 3 infected teeth and the abscess was BAD. I know my teeth are not the best, but I can't stand going to the dentist and being lectured about them...it's half the reason I almost never go! Marin Dental Care made me feel so comfortable and never made me feel worse about my teeth. They offer a variety of things to help you feel comfortable during your visit from blankets to head phones. The front desk is so nice

I have been going to Marin Dental care for a number of years and have always had a really great experience. They are always very nice, professional and seem to go above and beyond your expectations. They also have the latest technology and can do a crown in one day so you don’t have to come back. Alyssa cleaned my teeth recently and I think it was the best cleaning I have ever had. I've been going here for years and it's been the best experience I've ever had with a dentist.
They have great staff that has been there for the last 6 or so years for me at least, and they remember you when you come back which is a great feeling.
As far as dental work, it's a modern dentistry that has the latest tech which gives me peace of mind.
I've had orthodontia performed there and again super easy process and all smooth sailing.
As a side note, my partner was going to a dentist for years in downtown SF and had an issue with pain in her tooth. She thought it was a cavity but the SF dentist

My experience at Marin Dental has been very good. I’ve been a patient for about a year and a half now, having had cleanings, x-rays, fillings replaced, and a crown which was done in house, the same day. The dentist I see does great work and is personable and caring. The hygienists that do the the cleanings are always thorough and gentle. I have much more confidence in this dental practice than the place where I was previously going. So glad I made the change

I went in for the deal to get my teeth cleaned, an exam and X-rays. The X-ray machine was broken. During the exam, I asked Dr. Kotula for a second opinion about a bridge, crown and a filling I received from Dr. Pouradib, another dentist in San Rafael. She seemed to agree with me, that my concerns were valid and offered to contact Dr. Pouradib to help me explain what bothered me.
I went back to Dr Pouradib, who was unable to fix the problems. I still have 3 different colors of teeth. I still have an uneven bite and the surface of my filling is still chalky rather than smooth like glass.

I always love my Dental experience at Marin Dental Care! I appreciate all the decor and thoughtful attention to creating comfort and ease in the waiting room and in the chair. This office has state of the art, super sterilized, high tech equipment. The office personnel are professional, calming and the receptionists are pleasantly welcoming. I adore all the Hygienists and today, my Dental Hygienist Elana! Sweetest demeanor, unhurried but focused, extremely thorough, informative and willing to share information about what is available for future care. I would highly recommend MARIN DENTAL CARE!

I have been to the clinic once before and it was a good experience, but I am leaving a poor review now because for months I have tried getting an appointment. My understanding is they have been operating with many available hours for months now even during COVID-19. I was due for a check up and initially called to be put on the waiting list in case appointments opened up, since they didn't initially have anything when I needed it. I did get a call for a Saturday appointment which I confirmed, only for it to be cancelled at the last minute. I then later tried to schedule an appointment, but

I have been a client for a few years and everyone I have ever worked with at Marin Dental has been very professional, attentive, responsive and highly competent. From the billing and front desk staff to the assistants and, of course, the dentists, have been great to work with. I feel that they care for my wellbeing, listen to my concerns and treat me with respect and courtesy. Kathy and Jennifer were so nice and professional they treated me to a coffee card because of my appointment being pushed to a later time after I arrived. That has never happened to me before. This is my first visit, I was extremely nervous but it sure helped to see how great the front office staff treats their customers. I know it's because of upper management has fostered an environment that puts the customers needs at the top of their priorities! Keep up the great work Marin Dental Care!!

Went in for fillings after some tooth trauma; left with a good clean and a referral to get my wisdom teeth out, but nothing done about my cavities. There was a solid wait time the day I went in for my appointment, which may be why Dr. Chase didn't even note my filling-needs in his files, as I found out later when I called to determine whether or not cavity-filling was a service offered here.

I'm ashamed to say that my last dentist visit was in February 2016. Between moving across the country 3 years ago and not having dental insurance until June 2019, I couldn't afford a dentist visit. With that being said, my first time back in the dentist chair on Saturday, August 24th was a pleasant one! The staff was beyond kind, the Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) and the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) I had were amazing, and Doctor Chase wrapped it in a bow for me.

The dentists are great. The hygienists are great. The front desk/ insurance people are deceitful. I had an old filling that was cracking and would need to be replaced at some point. No pain, so not a crisis. Dentist recommended replacing it. I said I don't have funds. Front desk person says, "it won't cost anything. We checked and your insurance will cover." I said, "are you sure, my boss generally does not get the best insurance." She says, " yes, we confirmed". I sign a document that says I will owe $0.00.

Fillings weren't quite right (was still having pain chewing after weeks had gone by), so I went back to have them checked. Was told it was bruising and I'd be fine. Another month goes by, still unable to chew on the right side of my mouth. Go back for a third time, have everything completely re-done (I was told free of charge).
SIX MONTHS LATER, I get a bill for $250. Claiming that they'd upgraded the quality of filling material which my insurance

They get 3 stars for getting me in easily and quickly for X-rays, cleaning and check up. It is so hard to get a dentist appointment in under 2 months, I was willing to drive to San Rafael from Oakland to see Dr Kahn on a friend's recommendation.
But, honestly, is there a dentist anywhere who doesn't cancel appointments on a whim?
