I stopped in Adam's based off a few recommendations and the fact that they were a locally owned small business, after the year Americans have had, it meant something to me to support them.
I was immediately greeted by Denise who was helpful and informative as I am new to this community and had quite a few questions. Denise informed me that they were dealing with inventory hold ups, America 2021. I was given a timeline as to when bikes should be coming in and I could check back periodically. Working with Adam's was incredibly pleasant from start to finish. I emailed them to see if I could get a bike and then I talked on the phone as they talked me through what was available. They kept me updated and when a bike was available they priced me immediately when I could pick it up. They were super friendly on the phone and when my bike was ready Chuck took the time to explain everything about the bike. If you're looking for a new bike, be sure to support this local business!

Pretty disappointed at the "service" i got there.
i had an issue with my bike of my own doing. i was attempting to swap out the handlebars and i over-tightened the stem and stripped it. totally my own fault. so after looking at all the great reviews for this shop i decided to bring it in to see what they could do. my intention was to just pay them to do it right since i botched the job.
after describing the problem, i was told the stem was ruined and they couldnt get a replacement part for it...it was suggested to me to return the bike to walmart (where i purchased it a few weeks prior

Why is it so hard these days to provide exceptional customer service? I feel like I ask myself this question way too often. I suppose the upside is when you encounter exception service, it makes your experience that much more special. By the sound of it you wouldn't think I'd be talking about a bike shop but I sure as hell am. So friendly and knowledgeable, Adams MAKES you want to come back. That's the true test in my book. Very nice shop up in East Northport. They have nice inventory on hand. I was in need of a bike hitch for my sons Jeep and after much research I really wanted a Yakima one and although I could have bought it from Amazon a little cheaper I like the fact that Adams had it in stock, been selling Yakima's for over 20 years, have a business relationship with Yakima so if I needed any kind of assistance with the company they could help.

Great Mom & Pop bicycle Shop. Last year, I brought my bike there for servicing and was very happy with there service. I decided to go there to check out a bike for my son's birthday. They were really helpful in choosing the perfect bike for him and I ended up buying it there. A couple months later, I bought myself a new bike there for a bike tour I was doing and they helped fit me with the right bike for what my needs were. Not pushy and Chuck and Darren were really knowledgeable. I highly recommend them for all bike needs.

As an avid cyclist I can say that there are not many knowledgeable places to go for purchasing, advice and service on your bike. This is a great store. Chuck and the entire staff are friendly and professional. My family has been customers at this family owned business for close to 30 years and will continue to be in the future. Great Job guys!!

I have a 16 year old high end bike that Adams is keeping in great working order. I recently messed up the adjustment of my front derailleur (I shouldn't have tried to do it myself). The techs at Adams Cyclery reinstalled it and adjusted it perfectly. It's shifting smoothly and is silent when I'm pedaling.

This shop is hands down amazing! I came in to buy cycle shoes and the staff was absolutely amazing and so helpful! I have always been interested in doing tri's and always wanted a road bike but never knew which one to get. Chuck did an amazing job at finding the perfect bike! I can't wait to finally pick it up!

Last minute Xmas shopping idea to get my 14 year old brother a bike, and I desperately found this place on yelp.
Great selections, extremely knowledgeable and helpful owner, and got assistance getting the bike in my 2 door bmw.
Highly recommend this bike shop, I'll come back for myself next time.

I stopped in over the weekend with my 9 year old daughter and Chuck asked a few questions and recommended a bike for her. He wasn't at all pushy about selling her a bike, in fact after he had her on the bike and she was nervous about transitioning to the larger bike he suggested we think it over and call him when we were ready. We called the next day and picked it up today. Chuck and his staff adjusted the seat, handlebars, and brake reach for her, then showed her how to work the shifter and hand brakes.
Overall I couldn't be more pleased with experience at Adams Cyclery!
