Dan Salter grew up in the automotive industry. His father, Dallas, came to Delaware in 1961 and established business S&J Flying "A" Sinclair gas and service station on Kirkwood highway 1966. Dan was born and raised in New Castle. He became an ASE certified technician after serving in the USNR from 1980-1986.
Fixed my transmission problem at reasonable rate and in reasonable time (less than one day). Have used their service for many, many years, with no complaint. Took my car to ASAP Automotive for steering and front end issues. Spoke to Dan who told me they would inspect the car and get back to me. I was surprised how fast Dan called and explained what they had found and game me an estimate.

Awesome customer service. Found this place on yelp and tried it based on reviews. They did not disappoint. My car had 3 system lights on. Within an hour of me dropping my car off they called me back. They ran a diagnostic for free and recommended that the issues be fixed by the manufacturer because the issue was still covered under warranty. Due to their help and honesty I will be returning to service my vehicle here, and I have already recommended them to others. Honesty and good service is rare when trying to find a mechanic but this place has it figured out.

Just got my vehicle back from ASAP Automotive regarding some brake / wheel assembly repair, looks like they did a fantastic job. They offered me a free 45 point inspection, informed me of the problem areas on the vehicle and provided a competitively priced quote for the work. They did not try to 'overwork' the car, instead they were very transparent about the work, ended up replacing two rear rotors / brake pads and one rear caliper that was frozen; they even showed me some of the damaged parts after the repair. I also had them recharge the R34 for the AC while it was in. They provided

This is NOT your usual shop. I went in for a lube and tire rotation, expecting the usual : these filters are also in need of changing, blah, blah. I got the bill without any try at selling me on anything else ! When questioned I was told " the car checked out fine, so why would we try to sell you something you didn't need ?" OUTSTANDING ! Overheard the owner discussing hi-performance problems with another customer, and they know cars.

This shop is now called ASAP Automotive. I am new to town and needed a good and honest shop to diagnose and repair my 04 Jeep GC. Had an intermittent starting problem. I did all the basic common sense checks myself with no luck. They pain stakingly checked every possible problem until they were sure of what the problem was. Part was ordered and installed in a timely manner at a fair price. Very honest with no surprises. Highly recommend.
