The ratings on this place were misleading, after a Hibachi dinner yesterday, I felt bloated and sick to my stomach soon I got home, too much oil & butter on soy sauce, the chef left the fan on after he left which cause our food to get cold we told the waitress it took them 10 minutes to turn it off … it was just a bad experience all around, I don’t think I ll be back to that place.

The food was delicious, but The waiters don't understand English very well, which complicates communication.

Sushi & sashimi are good.. the people that work there are nice.. ive been a few times & will be back

I am alergic to all seafood and they try to mix it. They were
very rude . And wasn't very bad experience. They messed up everybody's orders. Nobody got what they wanted. I will never come here again.

This place had very nice decoration and fast service. However, food was just ok (especially for the price), drinks were too sweet, and the waiter forced me to give her a generous tip and told me what I gave her was not enough. I know waiters don’t get paid a lot, but forcing people is not the way. Also waiter made a mistake with one of my orders. So, I don’t find the logic of give her a good tip.

I didn't feel like driving to my usual sushi spot so I gave Kaya a chance. The chicken teriyaki bento box was delicious and they give so much food in it. The sushi was fresh and great for the price. Everything was excellent. I'd definitely come back.

Let me start by saying that I have gone to Kaya for five Valentines Days in a row. Outside of February 14th, my family goes there several times a year. NEVER AGAIN…
On February 14th, we arrived at 6:05pm for our reservation. We were sat and our server did not come until 20 minutes later. While waiting, I was shocked to observe that there was literally ONE server and ONE food runner there on VALENTINES DAY. My boyfriend and I were on our way to another restaurant when we drove past here and decided to stop in and try something… we walked in blindly didn’t look at the menu or anything, but we were not disappointed, I had the chicken teriyaki and my boyfriend had the chicken and shrimp hibachi combo and they were so delicious. We decided to sit at the bar and Joyce took care of us and she was BEYOND amazing. She was so welcoming, attentive, sweet, I can go on and on. She took care of us from the second we walked in, we were there a little towards closing and she did not make us feel rushed at all

This is the best sushi spot in the area!!! Everything is so fresh, the staff is beyond accommodating! I'm hesitate to post this review because I'm selfish and I love that they are not over crowded or have a wait list constantly like other restaurants in the area although they SHOULD...amazing bar, great food and hibachi! Please visit this local spot

Nice large menu, good customer service--I ordered a hibachi lunch delivery online and asked if I could have half rice half noodles instead of choosing just one, and they called to let me know I couldn't get both, which I appreciated. The food arrived quicker than expected and was delicious, and a lot of it too! I'd definitely order again or try in person sometime.

Sushi was fresh and they have unique rolls :D

Came here for Valentine's day and they were extremely busy. The hostess seemed to be pretty stressed out, but given covid (limited seating cap) and what looked like a ton of to-go orders, she seemed a bit all over the place. I'll give her a pass because again it's a holiday and even though we made a reservation, we were waiting on a table to leave. My only piece of feedback was that she was pretty short with us and barely acknowledged patrons at they came in.

Nasty food and when I complained, they became angry. I was very disappointed with the customer service. They tried to block me for speaking but I will not be silenced. Very racist establishment and I will NOT be back.

1st time here, my bf and I found it last minute since we were waiting for our time to go bowling. I must say i was much surprised. Loved the atmosphere, very intimate and romantic but cool. Perfect for couples. The food was amazing. I ordered sushi and my bf ordered the shrimp scallop Combination. I am definitely returning. Service was great. Very friendly which is a must! I recommend all the way :)

Ordered for delivery, came fairly quick and hot! We had udon with chicken was very good. California roll spicy tuna and angry dragon roll. Chicken teriyaki veggie fried rice and shrimp shumi ..The angry dragon roll was very good! Would recommend.

Kaya is a dependable and yummy sushi spot! We order from them every two weeks or so, and we're always pleasantly surprised by how fresh their sushi is. We also love the spicy Kani salad, the shumai, and their garden salad. Our sushi order typically includes an avocado salmon roll, a shrimp tempura roll, and a spicy crunchy salmon roll. Always delicious!

Kaya has worked so hard to keep their business safe during the COVID crisis, and we have felt completely confident ordering from them. This is the best sushi in Lodi - by a long shot!

I went in for my first time to order to go. They were extremely nice and gave me such wonderful customer service. It was quite nice of them to give roses to the ladies that were there. The portions they gave was just right. The habachi was tasteful and just oh so delicious. I definitely vouch for this Japanese restaurant.

Really top notch Japanese Fusion restaurant! We ordered sushi for takeout and it is GREAT quality and VERY FRESH. Easily the best sushi in the area. FIVE Stars

Came here based on all the good reviews and recommendations. But not sure if it was worth all the hype? This is a Chinese owned Japanese restaurant. We made it in time just for their lunch special and while the lunch special seemed like a good deal I thought the rolls were a bit small. And while everything taste ok, I don't think it was all that great.

Overall I think this is a solid place for the area.

I ordered from Kaya Sunday afternoon. I ordered shrimp shumai and 4 sushi rolls. I have always wanted to order from this place since the reviews were so good! I was not disappointed.

I got 2 shrimp tempura rolls, one sweet potato roll and a California roll.

The total was 43 dollars. For the quality and taste of food it was totally worth it.

The food was reading in about 15-20 minutes.

I would definitely order from Kaya again. The food came out timely, great tasting and good quality food.

I really enjoyed myself here. We came to celebrate a birthday and they were super friendly and accommodating

Cocktails were nice, sushi beautiful and tasty, hibachi prepared by a very entertaining chef who was super.

I asked if I could bring a birthday cake in and they accommodated us free of charge, played happy birthday over the speaker system and got the staff involved. They were great!

I'll definitely be bringing my friends here again soon

Food was AMAZING!! Decoration like I have never seen before!! My pictures won’t let me lie :) The server was very nice and friendly. Good lunch prices. I’ll be back with more friends.

This is our 3rd visit and the food has been great every time. The sushi is really good. The cranberry margarita was tasty as well. We also had take out a few times and that was also delicious.
