I would not recommend this place, especially if you are looking for a comfortable place to live. The units are fine to an extent. Here are some key points about the unit:
The paint on the doors is awful and keeps peeling. It's as if the door wasn't fitted properly.
The kitchen is cramped. There's virtually no room for food prep.
The dishwasher does not dry properly.
The inside has above average humidity. Mold growth will happen VERY rapidly.
The A/C is extremely loud. You'll have to double the volume on whatever you're listening while it runs.
Cockroaches are EVERYWHERE

I just moved a couple of months ago and love living here. Being in the heart of downtown Santa Ana is very convince to shops, restaurants, bars and everything you need. in addition, I have placed a couple of work orders and Javier and maintenance staff have fixed the issue very quickly. They are very friendly and respectful. Could have not ask for anything better.

During the last 18 months, things have been difficult for everyone, and even though there have been quite a few maintenance issues that had to be addressed because the building is pretty old and because there have been quite a few tenants that like living like "pigs," I still enjoy living here. The maintenance team: Javier, Felipe, and Junior have been trying their best to keep up with everything, and I would like to thank them again for doing their best.

I recently moved into this complex and I love it. I like how it's walking distance to so many restaurants and bars. I. The heart of downtown Santa Ana. Another reason I love living here is because I have central AC and a washer/dryer in my apartment. Leasing office was quick and everything went smoothly during the renting the apartment. This place gives a good vibe for me and they welcomed my dog as well. I'm glad I found this gem.

My partner and I lived in these apartments for one year, from April 2019-2020. The location is excellent if you want to be right in the action of downtown Santa Ana. But, unfortunately, the good review stops there.

We had repeated problems with cockroaches; the kitchens are tiny, making it hard to enjoy cooking; parking is a nightmare, especially if you need two spots (it took us nearly eight months to get a second spot); if you're lucky enough to get a parking spot with storage that's great (otherwise there's no storage); pet owners do not clean up after their animals; we woke

I would honestly give a 0 star if I could. This is the WORST place I have ever lived . Don't let them fool you. There is cockroaches all over the building . No matter how clean your house is they come in through the hallways. There is NO PARKING at all!!!!! They MAYBE can give you one space even though there is so many empty ones in the garage . There's a "waitlist" for a spot that they NEVER go down and aren't doing anything to help the parking . There's about 8 visitor spots for the WHOLE building and if you park anywhere else you will get towed . And no where else

I have made every attempt to contact maintenance after hours , there's A RAT in my unit!!! thetr has been nosies in the walls. We didn't think much of it since our unit is always clean and we never leave food out. My son ran to me and told me he saw something followed by squealing - we have left the apartment and booked a hotel. So DISGUSTING!!!!
No one is available & there's no options for maintenance. How is it possible that they know they have an infestation but don't have 24 hour emergency services just in case something like this happens!
I am 7 months pregnant. I

I cannot express my gratitude enough for the staff of Artists Village Apartments... especially Whitney. From assisting me with choosing an apartment, to giving fun tips about Downtown Santa Ana, working with me while I was in another country, and LITERALLY pushing my couch through a doorway - Whitney goes ABOVE AND BEYOND for her residents. Thank you to both her (and the lovely Julia) for answering all of my questions and being amazing throughout the moving process to now!

It was the worst apartment agency I have ever experienced. From the beginning, the first question asked was: "having no credit history, would it be possible to work with you?" They told us that, of course, we would only have to pay more deposit. Looking to move in by the end of the month, they have wasted a lot of our time. After running us around in circles and asking for all the proof of salary, they also asked for information about my business. After providing all this information and proving making 3x more the rent, they told us that the credit score was the problem... Which was the

I have been living here for more than 10 years, and I really enjoy it since I have received nothing less than stellar service from everyone who works in this community. The office personnel is great, and the maintenance team is top-notch. Javier, Felipe, and Eleazar (aka Junior) have been amazing, and they are always trying their best to fix everything around the community within a day or so. A recent example of the maintenance guys going out of their way to assist the tenants every time they can is when Junior came by my apartment a couple of days ago to drop off a package of mine that was sitting

Attempted to apply for an apartment, got as far as signing move-in documents and even a lease agreement, then out of nowhere I receive emails letting me know my documents have been voided without giving any reason at all (They put a . in the "Reason" section) and it took me 5+ hours to get any information out of them letting me know they have declined my application, and did not give me a reason.
Edit: I called the number provided by the response and it went to voice mail, did not receive a call back. Take that how you would like.

As a resident of Artist Village all I can say is the office staff is very helpful during the on boarding process Lindsay was awesome and maintenance staff is always on top of issues. On the other hand safety is a big issue. My car has been broken into twice, there are no cameras in the basement, so Jackie Georgescu the Leasing Consultant suggested parking in the guest parking where there are cameras. Also, someone attempted to break in my apartment while I was there so I called the police and the office staff was very helpful by having security do more routine walks around my floor and suggested

Lived here for just under 3 years. The staff, especially the maintenance team, are awesome and always willing to help. Walking distance to restaurants and bars, which was nice. There was an issue with homeless in the park behind us, which is not the complex's fault, but I never saw them bother anyone. I moved to be closer to work, otherwise would've stayed longer.

I just moved out here and have been living in an Airbnb for the last 3 months. Lindsay was so helpful throughout the whole process and did everything she could to accommodate my questions! The approval process was rather extensive as far as verifications go, but it makes me feel more comfortable knowing my neighbors have also been verified. So far, everything has been smooth - it's quiet, my neighbors are kind and respectful in every aspect, and maintenance solved an issue I had at move in within two days! The neighborhood is also wonderful - my boyfriend and I walked to 4th and got dinner

The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. The article apartments are small but well laid out. I love the fact that the have a washer/dryer in the unit. The maintenance guys have all been very helpful and patient. There is a rubbish Shute on every floor that has s very convenient. Sometimes the other tenants leave their trash by it rather than putting it down the Shute. That is unfortunate but not the fault of the facility and the maintenance guys clean it up every day. There is a s a mail room with lockers for Parcel Pending that is quite convenient and a laundry service too. The grounds are

I came to see Artists Village apartments when I realized I needed to downsize from a three bedroom house to a one or two bedroom. Jackie was amazing- so friendly, willing to show me all the potential spaces I might choose. I thought the apartment was gorgeous and the move in specials were out of this world. Seriously! If I could have afforded that two bedroom on the first floor, I would have done it, and the one bedroom sadly would have meant I needed a storage unit. I couldn't make it work but I'm still going to dream about the space and remember what a lovely experience I had checking

Cons:
Some of the units have serious ongoing cockroach issues and management refuses to acknowledge it is a problem; they just offer to treat your apartment. I found a roach during my move-in walk-through, and my apartment was treated for roaches twice in two weeks but there were still roaches everywhere (there's another review on here complaining about roaches where the management team responded by offering to treat the apartment). After I complained multiple times, the management team let me move into another unit elsewhere in the building where there were no longer roach problems.

Very spacious 1 bedroom with smaller kitchen cabinets.

The leasing office and crew were very helpful and friendly. Nothing but good vibes there.

The only thing that I was sketched out about would be the people on the streets. Which isn't really the apartment's doing. Cough cough... these are society's issues.

This review is for a walk-through only. I am not a resident.

Was just curious so my buddy and I walked through a demo unit. While we were getting ready to leave the rental office a tenant came up to report a door leading from the garage into the building was broken.

Then, immediately upon entering the building from the leasing office, the smell of weed was over-powering. Lindsay was our guide and said it doesn't normally smell like weed, however other reviews on here have indicated otherwise.

Some kids (18-20) came in while we were waiting for the elevator and were cussing up a storm. Nothing

My fiance and I came into this place for a tour 5/15 at 3:30 per our scheduled appointment time, we were met by a girl with dark hair, we didn't get her name but we should have, she showed us a unit really quick rushing us through it. We asked to see the gym and pool area and she said she couldn't because she said she had a vendor coming soon and she didn't want to hold them up. We insisted she show us and she said she could not. Its crazy how she was more interested in meeting with the vendor instead of showing a potential tenant the rest of the property, such a shame, i was actually really interested

First day of move-in:
- There was literal feces in the toilet
- Flush wasnt working
- AC was leaking
- Door couldnt shut (misaligned knob)
- Washing machine was out of order
13th day:
- Faulty water sprinkler came on (for no reason)
- Caused a 3-inch flood
- Ruined almost all furniture and most electronics
-> lost a place to stay and most belongings
Spoke to leasing consultant, they refused to provide ANY type of compensation (when it's not even a burglary or

The prices have generally been good, the location is great (*great*), and the staff is (with only perhaps 1 exception) universally friendly and helpful.
That being said, if your unit faces 1st street you will never be able to hear anything further than a few feet away from you. The sound of traffic passing below somehow fills the apartment so fully you'll think you're standing in the road.
The washer/dryer in unit breaks roughly once or twice a month, though this is still preferable to having to use a laundromat.
The kitchen is an affront to cooking. The vomit-colored granite counters chip easily
