Since 1991, Susan has been helping people with relationships at risk and trauma resolution. She is passionate about helping people to rekindle the passion they once had by removing resentments and anger which build up and destroy trust and intimacy in relationships.
Susan works with blended family conflicts and teaches families how to specifically set up family structures and organization that insure that each person feels safe and cared for by the family system.Besides working with relationships and families and adolescents she volunteers her time working with "The soldier Project" and "Give an hour".

Even though is was originally developed to treat emotional trauma, it is now used to treat anxiety and depression. It helps to release negative feelings such as unworthiness, helplessness, low self esteem because it changes your perspective of whatever happened to make you feel unworthy or unloved or incapable.
Trauma Therapy seems to be most effective when Mind-body therapies( or somatic therapies) are used because they influence the area of the brain where fear is held, the amygdala. Some of the Trauma Therapies are somatic therapies are EMDR, Emotional Freedom Techniques or EFT, Somatic Experiencing or SE.

Working with Susan has truly been life changing. She is supportive, compassionate, knowledgeable, nonjudgemental, and professional. I feel comfortable talking to her about anything. The best part is that she provides me with resources that I can use outside of sessions. Such resources include tapping exercises to relieve stress or anxiety, youtube videos, book recommendations, and meditation links. She has truly helped me heal wounds, find confidence within myself and work toward leading the life I want to live.
