Services
Elegy does not believe in taking advantage of a family when they are most vulnerable. The selection of a funeral or cremation provider can become very confusing and costly. At Elegy, we take pride in removing the confusion and high cost of planning by offering our families easy to understand, realistically priced, complete service packages.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Someone you love has died. You are now faced with the difficult, but important, need to mourn. Mourning is the open expression of your thoughts and feelings regarding the death and the person who died. It is an essential part of healing. The following articles provide many practical suggestions to help you move toward healing in your unique grief journey.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

The President of Elegy Cremation and Memorial Services, David Carver, came to our home and really put us at ease. Elegy took care of everything. The basic traditional urn was of higher quality than expected. David, and the receptionist were both genuinely kind, warm, and caring. Elegy went above and beyond to make this difficult transition easier for our family. We would highly recommend Elegy.

I would like to thank Derek, Art and I believe it was Barbara? (from the after hours answering service) for their professional, responsive, respectful and caring service. They were helpful in answering our questions and taking care of our needs. The pricing and services were exactly as detailed on their web site. I did not feel like I was being "up sold" on a service that I didn't want. Also the basic cremation container was much nicer than expected. Overall I would recommend Elegy. They made a difficult time easier for our family.

I could not of asked for better services. I was really comfortable with this company. They took great care of me, and my Mother’s remains. I did not have to travel for anything through this difficult time. They came to me to fill out paperwork and to bring my Mother’s Urn to me. I highly recommend this company.
Thank you Elegy

We had such a positive experience with Art. The death in the family was unexpected and tragic, and he came to the house to fill out the paperwork, which was much appreciated. He was sensitive to the circumstances and went out of his way to make additional arrangements for a viewing by a family member who was unable to arrive in town before the death. He also went out of his way to deliver the cremains to the house before the memorial service. The pricing was very fair also. Much gratitude to Art.
