The Wagner House is a historically preserved, beautiful three floored urban oasis. Freeport and Stephenson County's premier wine bar, meeting space and event venue. Featuring The Great Debate Wine Bar, located on the first floor. Swank & Mercier a small accessories boutique. The Back Office on the second floor as a rentable business center, event space, and lounge perfect for corporate events, small weddings, live music, and entertainment.

This creative meeting space has been renovated to meet our modern needs while keeping the character of the original structure. The third floor is called The Green Room and this unique event space is perfect for live music, weddings, and corporate events.

I think it's a very beautiful business but there is no handicap accessibility getting into the building they have no rap for people in wheelchairs or walkers and it's very steep steps in a very narrow entrance

First time eating here and coincidentally the premiere of a new menu! Everything was delicious and beautifully presented.. Highly recommend the meatloaf and the creamed mushroom and carmelized onion soup. Live music and attentive wait staff - we will be returning soon!

Amazing dinner for two. We started with their signature cocktails and mushroom appetizer which were delicious. I ordered a cup of soup, which kay be the best souped I've ever eaten. We then had two different fish dishes for our main course and they were both great. I look forward to coming back again soon to try more cocktails and the burger.

I was there for a wedding reception. I really wasn't happy to see all the stairs I had to climb to get to the 3rd floor. I am terrified of stairs. I also have restricted lungs. I will not be going there again. If I knew about the stairs before the reception, I would not of went. The only thing I can say the food was good.

Excellent ambiance, great food, service and drinks. We stop by Wagner House any chance we get. Not many places around that have such a wide and quality drink list on top of delicious food. Staff is always supper friendly as well. Highly recommend.

The Wagner House is by far the best spot in Freeport, and quite possibly the entire Rockford area. In an old industrial warehouse, the ambiance is fantastic, particularly on the days when they have live music.

The food is quite good - simple comfort food. But the main draws are the cocktails and wine list, entertainment, and of course the setting.

I watched an excellent blues guitarist play soulful covers of Stevie Ray Vaughan, with some cool Jimi Hendrix thrown in.

I'll be back anytime I'm in Freeport, guaranteed...

The food was really tasty and fresh. I loved the atmosphere. Really just a cool, hidden gem in Freeport. The staff was very friendly and the live music was a nice touch. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because portions are very small for the price. This would be more acceptable in a larger area but for Freeport I was not expecting that and left still hungry.

My favorite bar and restaurant in the Freeport area. I always come here when visiting, and has some of the best live entertainment making my visit that much worthwhile. Looking for great wine, cocktails, and wine? They have it. Looking for amazing lunch and dinner food that's upscale? They have it as well. Love Wagner house for everything they do and offer their customers.
