Cyanuric Acid is a chlorine stabliizer and should not be confused with Muriatic Acid which is used to reduce high pH levels. Cyanuric Acid should be maintained at a level of 30-50 ppm. When over 50 ppm, it reduces the effectiveness of chlorine as a sanitizer. The California Health and Safety Code has set a maximum level of 100 ppm.
The County Environmental Health Department performs the majority of their annual inspections during the summer months. If your pool is unsafe or found by a County Health Inspector to have a MAJOR VIOLATION, the pool or spa will be closed by the Environmental Management Department (EMD). If you receive a closure notice, a large red sign will be posted and the gate will be chained and locked.

These guys are awful. When I started using them over 2 years ago, and Mitch serviced my pool, the service was excellent. Now they send out slackers and liars and the owner Lori will not take accept responsibility of her lousy employees. I understand it must be very tough to find qualified people, but when they screw up, you need to take ownership of the problem. They don't do that. I would definitely not recommend HOA. You pay top dollar for very, very poor service. (Unless you're lucky enough to get Mitch to service your pools.)

If you want top notch customer service, a sparkling pool and an on-call problem solving pool service 24/7 - then you need to call HOA Pool Services. The owner, Lori Cline, is as good as they get in the business - a person of integrity who has a skilled workforce at her disposal. She personally guarantees the best results. They do servicing and repairs, both residential and commercial accounts. I have never worked with a better pool service.
