Blue Oven Bakery
We're hard at work at our Findlay Market location and we're baking fresh daily at our stall in OTR! We're offering a new menu of Blue Oven Eats featuring never before featured products like donuts, focaccia, scones, savory sliders and new spins on old classics like the soft pretzel and our Cuban.

The menu will continue to grow as we bring back more and more Blue Oven favorites as we've already started doing with our Pecan Raisin, Italian Hubcap and our English Muffins! The indoor market season has kicked off at many of our farmers' markets! The Madeira Farmers' Market is outdoors at the Madeira Silverwood Presbyterian Church, but shifting to the winter season with new hours.

Blue Oven Bakery is committed to local and organic ingredients and the slow methods of hand production to create delicious breads and foods that help encourage a healthy lifestyle and support the community. Mark and Sara Frommeyer started with a passion for creating something great that would carry on as a family tradition for years to come.

Across the greater Cincinnati area, Blue Oven is proud to collaborate with some of the best food minds our great city has to offer.
Stored in a brown paper bag. This will help the bread stay fresh for 1-3 days. We don't recommend storing your bread in plastic at room temperature as it promotes mold growth. Stored in the freezer. To prevent freezer burn in your bread, wrap each slice, loaves or English Muffins in something (aluminum foil, paper bag or plastic) before placing into a freezer container - this will keep any unwanted moisture out.
Hyde Park Farmers' Market Update: You may have heard we won't be at the Hyde Park Farmers' Market this summer. Know that this was not a choice and we planned on being there with products you know and love. The market manager there has incorrectly been notifying all of the approved vendors that we were leaving on our own accord which is not the case.
Over the years, we have been privileged with a loyal fan base and are, in turn, grateful to have received acclaim of all kinds. From the customer emails to critical praise from local publications, each accolade fills us with a great deal of pride in the work we do and fills us with the inspiration to grow into the future.

Great bread bakery. They have had reduced service since their main bakery burned down, but the Findlay Market location still has stuff every weekend. I am a big fan of the english muffins, and I do like the baguettes. Sometimes at the end of the day, you can pick up a few things at a bargain, but more often than not, they're sold out and just close up once everything is gone. It's a great place, and one I'm always looking forward to checking out at Findlay Market.

I hate to do this. But I bought a blueberry lemon scone from Loveland Farmers Market and it just was not good. Over kneaded, chewy, edges over cooked and not much flavor. I was hoping for so much more

Had a lemon curd danish (with donut dough) that was delightful. All of the baked goods look great and I'll have to come back for more.

Blue Oven Bakery was recommended by a local from Cincinnati when my husband and I were visiting over Memorial Day weekend. We got there at 9:45 and a line was already pretty long - but worth the wait! Recommend the sliders and donuts!

Better and better! Even though a fire shut down their primary ovens, Blue Oven keeps creating new breads and pastries that are even better than before. Sweet or savory scones, pretzels, and a variety of sliders are new and delicious. My favorite scones are the sweet ones with fruit and either white chocolate or other sweet flavors but always firm and flaky. The sliders have several delicious flavors but are distinctive because of the soft and unctious bun that surrounds the cheeseburger, pizza, or other pepper and sweet interiors. This is in addition to the sourdoughs, English muffins that taste

There wasn't much left when we stopped by today but I picked up 2 English Muffins. They are big, soft and smell amazing!
The woman working the counter was friendly and the other items in the case looked awesome.
I'll stop by earlier next time I'm at the market.
I'm looking forward to having the muffins with breakfast tomorrow.

I recently had the pleasure of getting to try Blue Oven Bakery's mouth watering bread and English Muffins. I've traveled all over and have never had bread as delicious as yours. I found your amazing creations while stopping in at Harvest Market in Milford Ohio. It's much closer to me than your store front, but worth the drive for something so decadent as your breads. Thank you for putting love into passion.

Man this place is a strong hold at Findlay Market.

Their products are super good. Good quality. Good Flavor. Good Combinations. And it's definitely a premium bakery but the prices are reasonable considering.

The only complaint I can pose is that it's often so busy you have to wait in a long line and oftentimes, things will be sold out. Go early!

Their English muffins are life changing. They are known for the hubcap which is a unique item, you will know it when you see it. Also the small pastry's are super good. We got the scone and it had this nice sour flavor from the real blueberry

Um-mazing! Just moved to Cincinnati and discovered this bakery at Findlay Market. The best focaccia I've ever had...so tender and flavorful. I've tried two of their scones: spinach-cheddar and pear-ginger. Both had crispy, craggy exteriors and a tender interior crumb. Can't wait to try each of their offerings in the near future! For example, today they offered three flavors of "sliders" (pizza, cheeseburger and jalapeƱo jam-cream cheese). They're enriched buns stuffed with whichever flavor one chooses. Kind of like a bao, in an east
-meets-west way. Looking forward

Down at Findlay Market on a Sunday morning, trying to figure out why the line for Blue Oven Bakery was so long! It smelled delicious and it seemed like the taste would be similar considering everyone and their bread bags.

We walked around the market and decided to hop in line after the first hour rush went through. I can only assume that it's so busy at opening due to potential sell out but we were able to snag some treats regardless.

Socially distanced, we made our way to the counter and asked what they were famous for. English muffins! I grabbed one of each, regular and wheat. Even after

Have been buying their bread since I moved to USA from Germany in 2013. They have been providing consistently fantastic bread and I cannot find a better variety anywhere else.
Germany runs on bread, we have bakeries at every corner and eat bread or bread rolls for breakfast, lunch and supper. Moving to US was a huge adjustment, as the simple cardboard square toast (no offense, but c'mon) doesn't do it for me or my Wife.
The day we found out about Blue Apron was a game changer. What sets them apart from many other good small artisan bakeries in the area is the quality of the dough. Most

Update: I went back to the farmers market today and told them about the burnt croissant. The guy could not have cared less. He did not apologize or really say anything, and he would not give me a replacement. I was feeling a little bit bad about giving them a bad review, but now I really don't. It's clear they do not care about their products or about making customers happy. Terrible customer service!

My most frequented stand at Findlay Market. Cash only.

My favorites are their amazing english muffins. You've never had an english muffin like this...They're huge! So fluffy and soft, if you put some butter and jam on that baby in the morning you will feel like you're being hugged by bread.

I also really enjoy their almond croissants and their sunflower bread loaf. Honestly all of their seed breads are really good. Get here early if you want to get the good stuff because they'll run out around lunch time on the weekends. They also come to the Hyde Park farmer's market

The early bird catches the worm. At Findlay Market, the early bird gets to pick which baked good she wants to eat before all the other greedy worms come and eat them all up. Gosh, worms sound like horrible people.

If you get there by 815, you'll have your pick of breads and croissants. The croissants are what I live for. If I were a stronger-willed person, I'd get to BOB before the crowd does. Unfortunately, my Friday night self burns the midnight oil a little too often and Saturday morning self can't get it together.

One magical morning, I finally got to lay eyes on all that

When this placed first opened you would have to be in line first thing if you did not want them to run out of your favorite bread. They are that good. They now seem to make more each day so you don't have to get there quite as early but they still sell until they are out. This place has kept to it's roots and focus on what they do well, making delicious and fresh bread. Definitely worth stopping by a market to get a loaf or two. Don't forget the English muffins. They are my favorite and taste like desert!

Maybe we should pump the smell of fresh bread everywhere & then unite the country around that? Not knowing I'd eaten their bread before at a few area restaurants (Buona Vita Pizza, Sotto, Boca), I visited their OTR location after getting out of work early recently. Left happily with a sampling of their Italian Hubcap & a pretzel & made a note to revisit when I don't have to rush home to take my puppy out for a walk.

Their website goes to considerable lengths to impress & inform & does so admirably, with tips on how to best preserve bread, what's in each kind

Loved my almond croissant. I wish they sliced the bread for you. Price point is about $4-8 a loaf. They don't take credit cards, cash only. The croissants are huge, definitely enough for two to share and are priced at $4.

These guys are great. There are a ton of reviews saying so already, so I'll keep it short:

1. Cash or check only.
2. No preservatives, so either freeze half of it or eat it quickly.
3. Rye bread erry'thing.
4. CANELES.

Delicious bread!! I have loved Blue Oven for years and realized I needed to review them.

Every bread I've tried has been delicious. We recently went to Findlay and discovered their "toast bar." This is a wonderful option for a good and cheap breakfast. I chose a rye topped with cream cheese, salt, pepper, olive oil and greens. The bread was seedy, dense, and flavorful. My husband ordered the simple bread and butter toast and loved it! I will keep going back to try more and more flavors. It's a staple of Cincinnati and Findlay Market.
